The NFL is doing everything it can to stamp out and press down any and all criticism of Sam and his lifestyle. Yet they did nothing when the attacks were coming at Tebow. When Sam is cut from the Rams will the NFL at the "encouragement" of the LGBT crowd launch some type of investigation? Expression of ones feelings is a fundamental right in this country that is being taken away from most by the radical left. The NFLPA needs to challenge this and tell the commissioner that he's not going to be telling its members how they must express their beliefs and position. Damn is it any wonder the NFL is losing viewers and fans ?

It is indeed a strange world that a person like Tebow doesn't have a job in the NFL due to hatred against his beliefs (lets be truthful that is what it was), but this person has a job.

What really pisses me off about this is that my team has nothing to do with this deal, but will be guilty by association.
I wish I can say I won’t watch the NFL any more but the truth is I stopped watching 3 years ago and don’t miss it a bit.

I guess the league is aiming to offend a big chunk of its market by doing its part to rub the nose of traditional middle America in this social issues policy agenda. People shouldn't mistake this demagoguery for advocacy.... Michael Sam is just as disposable as any other pawn in the progressive game.
Oh- and what about Don Jones' free speech protection? He stated an opinion- one that I personally agree with- having NOTHING to do with the fact that Sam was drafted but with the fact that "the kiss" got aired and re-aired subsequent to Sam becoming Rammed (heh heh). THAT is absolutely disgusting- on the part of the media for lending itself to the game of rubbing our noses in what is generally understood to be painfully offensive to many.
I am so glad I haven't witnessed that kiss. Fox hasn't aired it THAT I KNOW and I am not looking for it. Gross.

How long until Churches lose their tax-exempt status because they discriminate against gays?
Given the Pope's penchant for decrying capitalism and calling for redistribution, I believe the Catholic Church should lose its tax exempt status as well as divest itself of its art and other valuable possessions.

Stop reading the Gospel According to the AP and read the actual statements. Funny the AP doesn't mention the sanctity of life part of his statement. They don't mention that he uses the story of a tax collector overcharging. A Church caring about the poor? Blasphemy! ;)
Granted, redistribution I think is a bad word to use. I think he is setting up the lefties for a discussion about 'evny'. Frankly, everything beyond a straight 'head tax' to cover minimum govt is socialism, we've been there for a long time. How much of the US budget is transfer payments already?
As to the Church's riches, you can't defend some of the actions and assets but I've never known a parish priest to have more than two pairs of shoes and a car newer than 5 years old. Sure there is a lot of art work in the Vatican, but what would you have them do, sell it off and have it put into private collections that no one ever can see? The art work is an example of the artistic gifts that God gave us. It takes days to truly walk thru and appreciate the art work in the Vatican's art collection.
Sure, if Michelangelo had baked bread instead of painting, a few people would have eaten, but have you seen the Sistine Chapel in person?
I'm surprised more people don't see the big picture of Christianity having to present a relevant 'value proposition' in developing countries where radical Islam and the Hamas model of social services can make for an enticing option.
I read his comments and he has traveled down this road before. The Bishop of Rome sits on billions of dollars of assets and he decries economic inequality? That rings pretty hollow to me. I also know that he is an apparent economic illiterate and seems to know nothing about the free enterprise system or how it has lifted more people out of squalor than any other construct in human history.
If you want to qualify what he said, that's fine but I'm taking his words at face value.
Sidekick seeing that you brought up the Pope and his feelings on income inequality. I have the perfect suggestion for he and the church. The Catholic Church should sell off 60-75% of all its holdings and I mean all of its holdings. The church should then give that money away. First come, first serve. The Catholic Church should give up its tax free status here in the US. Then the Pope on down should stop taking a cut of all contributions made to the different Catholic Charities. Once the church has done all of this, I just might give some thought to what he says about income inequality. Until then, not going to give them any rent free space.

Concerning this past incident with Muslim Killers, the First Lady (Mrs. Obama) gave a televised address condemning these girls abduction, demanding they be returned home. NOT ONCE was Islam, Christianity, jihad or focused attacks on Christians mentioned - basically the speech was all a hand wringing, "Gosh, this is not good" gush of empty words.
What is going on? Everywhere I turn I see violence against Christians, attacks upon western culture and values -- AND, denial from those we have elected to LEAD us. Is it time for an open revolution and cleansing of our society?
