Drug Kingpin Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman Escapes Mexican Prison Once Again

Drug Kingpin Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman Escapes Mexican Prison Once Again. Looks like El Chapo thinks the 3rd time will be a charm. Our advice? Do not let Sean Penn interview you this time.

Update: Someone kindly emailed us this is a fake ABC website. Been had again. I need new glasses.

  • How embarrassing. And I didn't do it this time, thank God. I can see where you might not have recognized it as a fake site -- "abcnew.com.co"? Who looks closely enough to see there's a ".co" after the ".com"?

  • He was there for all of what?
    2 weeks?
He must have needed a vacation. Being a fugitive has to be hard work.

  • I wouldn't want to be Sean Penn right now, anyone care to take bets he's looking for a nice, deserted island right now?

  • "Mexican officials believe the two guards, who began working at the prison just months ago, were actually members of the Sinaloa Cartel working for Guzmán."

I think there's something a wee bit screwy with the vetting process used to screen prospective employees of Mexico's criminal justice system.

    • If the Mexican screeners were to sneak across the US border they could soon find DHS jobs screening "Syrian refugees'.

  • Wait a second, was just reading the story and got to this line:

"Sarah Bradley, a spokeswoman for Sock It Forward, a group that provides the homeless and those less fortunate with brand new socks, told ABC News that she is sickened by the United State’s drug policies."

Why is this woman's opinion relevant? Does ABC have a dart board covered with contact names and call whoever a toss hits for comment?

    • This should have given it away as a hoax--it's the spiel Tommy Lee Jones gave in the Movie U.S. Marshals:

“Listen up, ladies and gentlemen. Our fugitive has been on the run for 90 minutes. Average foot speed over uneven ground, barring injuries, is 4 miles-an-hour. That gives us a radius of six miles. What I want out of each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area. Checkpoints go up at fifteen miles. Your fugitive’s name is Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman. Go get him.”

    • A platform for progressive early release and decriminalization propaganda.... from the same fine folks who want to disarm the law abiding, while we're on non sequiturs.
