ECB imposes negative interest rate. “It cut its deposit rate for banks from zero to -0.1%, to encourage banks to lend to businesses rather than hold on to money.” The problem is that nobody wants to borrow – negative interest rates aren’t going to change that. Hey, is all the QE actually causing deflation, the very thing it was supposed to prevent? Some fans of Keynesian stimulus are starting to think so..

  • Negative interest rates? The confiscation of the people's wealth has begun.

  • The ridiculously low rates on savings makes me a member of the Bank of Mattress. I know that I will not wake up one day and find the Obama Regime has frozen my money...or taken it. There is a lot of 401K, IRA money that would really help out those inner city youts that are all honor roll students more than it would help you in your retirement.

    Also my security systems are pretty GD formidable and layered. I don't say "stop or I'll shoot." I just shoot.
