Our theory is that low ratings have necessitated some cutbacks at MSNBC and one of the first things to be eliminated was the mirror in Ed Schultz’ dressing room. How else can you explain the Round Mound of Sound attacking New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for being fat?
As NewsBusters.org points out, this has been an ongoing theme in Schultz’ recent attacks on Christie, including such favorites as:
“This guy’s nothing but a big bully.”
“He’s throwing his weight around again.”
“Conservative talk-show hosts and heavy-handed politicians like Christie.”
And now the latest: “He’s a cold-hearted fat slob.”
Congratulations, Ed. Your razor sharp intellect is sure to win many converts to the progressive position. You’ve cemented your reputation as the thinking man’s liberal. You have officially become the left’s answer to William F. Buckley.

kind of interesting a dnc monkeyboy is so angry all the time. the party of inclusion, the party of tolerance, and he calls a governor who is trying to balance a budget a fat slob. Funny how that works isn't it? Don't follow the communists over the precipice and down the abyss and you are a radical fat slob racist. Just doesn't compute.

Christie is fat, but that doesn't stop him from doing a good job to the best of his abilities which is the real reason what's his name dislikes him. Christie is a bully...? is what's his name projecting? Me thinks yes.

This is funny, Ed calling somebody, anybody, a slob. You do go Ed, stand in the ring & call out Chris Christie, there is a good chance he will take the bait & eat you alive...just for sport. Here is an idea, Governor Christie has gone on the Morning Schmo a few times, next time Christie is scheduled to be a guest with Joe & Mika, you get your fat ass out of bed & put on a mic & head into the studio. My guess is Christie won't shy away from any discussion you want to have, & you best bring your "A-Game", if you have one. I would almost pay to see that, & since I have DishNetwork, I already do, so make it happen.
Besides, think about it, I believe that Chris Christie will be the President in the future, if he wants it. I would like to see him be our 45th President come 2012. My bet is that if you still have a job at NBC/GE/ComCast at that time, you could get an interview with him. Obama has blown you off, despite the fact you pimped for him & sold out, & admitted it in public. Why should he go on with you when you are already in the bag, when he can instead go on with Bret Baier on FoxNews & reach a much larger audience.

You are by far the biggest hypocrite on TV and maybe the world.
You think Yelling loud and calling names makes you more believable, well your viewership should show you otherwise.
I have watched your show a few times to try and give you a chance and look at views from all sides.
But Ed, I have to say, your side is the most hateful side there is and it really seems your hate comes from a jealously. I mean you truly sound like a sore loser in a game and I have to tell you Ed, this is not a game, it’s not how many more people you can get over beck at a rally or you no more union thugs than anyone or Christy is a fat slob and your just fat.
This is about our country and making it a better place for everyone, not just you and you over paid one sided reporting. I would venture to say that if you had a JOB, that say only paid 100K a year, that you would have a different view of things. But you don’t have a regular job and it is sickening that people who have everything want people who truly work for a living pay for everyone else and for us regular people to stop complaining about everything.
Ed, with your ratings going the way they are, you will be one of us soon enough and then we will see what side you are on and the funny part is; Ed, you will be welcomed here in the real world, because we actually want good for all.
