Our theory is that low ratings have necessitated some cutbacks at MSNBC and one of the first things to be eliminated was the mirror in Ed Schultz’ dressing room. How else can you explain the Round Mound of Sound attacking New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for being fat?
As NewsBusters.org points out, this has been an ongoing theme in Schultz’ recent attacks on Christie, including such favorites as:
“This guy’s nothing but a big bully.”
“He’s throwing his weight around again.”
“Conservative talk-show hosts and heavy-handed politicians like Christie.”
And now the latest: “He’s a cold-hearted fat slob.”
Congratulations, Ed. Your razor sharp intellect is sure to win many converts to the progressive position. You’ve cemented your reputation as the thinking man’s liberal. You have officially become the left’s answer to William F. Buckley.
