Four observations about Ed Schultz’ speech at Al Sharpton’s anti-Beck rally on Saturday:
Sharpton only gave Schultz three minutes, which is all that’s left of his 15 minutes of fame after the liberals are done taxing it.
The media is estimating 2000-3000 attended Sharpton’s counter rally, but swear to god, doesn’t it sound more like 50-100?
The “Yes We Can” chant is beginning to sound a bit pathetic.
Schultz says he’s glad he made the decision as a young man to “get on the bus with the brothers.” Since he was a conservative Republican until the 1990s and didn’t officially become a Democrat until 2000, that would mean he was “on the bus with the brothers” when he was a conservative.
Sorry about the sideways video, but that’s the way it was shot with someone’s camera phone.

Let's see...Al and Jesse had the same amount of time, way more media outlets and a strong "Reclaim the dream" tag line....And all they could draw is 3k? And they got Ed Shultz to speak? WOW...Glenn beck had one network and a radio show and drew 500k with a "Restore Honor" tag line.. Perhaps the education system isn't as broken as I thought it was.
As I stated earlier on different blog Ed shultz could draw that many people to a rally too. IF he had his message right. The message would have to be Anti American, it would have to include flag burnings, it would have to include burning GWB in effigy and it would have to be held in San Francisco.
sooner they don’t have people telling them they victims & that they can’t do it, the better.
agreed.
I could be wrong but I think Al's Anti-Beck rally was seeped in politics.
No you are not wrong. His rally was ALL about politics & it was Anti-Beck. Al is just worried that most people are sick of the "Just-Us Brothers", Al & Jesse. It's catching on & hopefully, there will be nobody to take their place. Black people, like all people, can do what their abilities will allow, they sooner they don't have people telling them they victims & that they can't do it, the better.
Let's cut the crap, Special Ed is more then pissed that Beck was able to get more people to go to the National Mall for the 8/28 rally then Ed get's to tune into his BSNBC show. The only place Ed MIGHT be able to get a crowd to show up FOR HIM, would be in Fargo. Ed is not a headliner, he is a backbencher...BARELY!
"Rev." Al appears to have had a bit of trouble filling the speaker slots at this massive event, because Ed Schultz is the absolute bottom of the barrel. Seriously...if I were of the liberal persuasion, I don't think I could come up with someone I would want backin' me up LESS than Ed Schultz. He's the laughing stock at MSNBC...and that's sayin' sumptin'...
BTW, I love the fact that the video is shoot sideways...the irony is stellar. Both "Rev." Al's and Ed "The Torch" Schultz's careers are taking on water, and the video mirrors the degree to which each is listing...
