  • I grew up on a farm and ate eggs every day. We had milk cows and we drank raw milk every day. My grandmother made butter, buttermilk and cottage cheese, which did not kill us. We eat red meat, both beef and game meat, pork and chicken. Some kind of meat was in our diet breakfast, lunch and supper. Dad used to make homemade ice cream and it was great. All of us should be dead by now.

Science said back in the 1970's said eggs were bad for you, now they say eggs are good. At one time milk was bad for you, now it is good for you. But not raw milk! Oh no, only the pasturized, homogenized, low fat, no taste kind. Butter has been bad for you for years. Red meat will clog your arteries and kill you. Everything home grown will kill you so don't eat it! Science tells me I should have died years ago.

I have a surprise for the quacks. My wrinkled old ass is sitting here typing this and I have very few health problems. I still eat eggs, butter, any kind of meat I want, drink raw milk I buy from a dairy in the valley, cook with lard, enjoy home grown vegies, do everything the quacks say should have killed me years ago. And I have never, ever had an aggregate cholesterol total of over 180. Never. People need to quit listening to the quacks who call themselves scientists and listen to what their own body is telling them.

    • AMEN!!!
I quit buying fake "butter" a long time ago. I only drink whole milk, unfortunately, I don't have any dairies near me to get raw milk from. Meat? I am constantly told by the VA doctor that I need to cut back on red meats, to which I say "OK" and keep eating what I want.
My great aunt and uncle lived to 103, they had bacon and eggs for breakfast every day, the eggs fried in the bacon grease. They both drank, him whiskey, her beer, and they smoked, her cigarettes, him a pipe. Proof positive that the medicos are all quacks.

      • Here in Michigan raw milk is against the law so farmers get around it by selling you a share of a cow. Whatever share you want, you can buy that percentage. Then they aren't selling you raw milk, they're just delivering you milk from your own cow. I just found a farm that does that nearby, and they list all the testing they do and will show anybody who's interested the cows' living conditions. It's a very impressive operation with two very impressive young farmers who graduated from Michigan State. And they will deliver milk to my home! Like when I was a kid! How cool is that?

  • He's speaking of medical research, but the criticism applies just as well to "climate science" of the Gore/Mann variety.

    • First thing I thought of was Global Warming. Second thing I thought of was all the food-industry-financed studies against vitamins and whole milk. Third thing I thought of was all the pharmaceutical-company-financed studies to support vaccinations.

By the way, another big listeria outbreak was in the news this weekend... and once again, like every other time, it was a Big Dairy pasteurizing producer that was responsible for the outbreak, NOT a raw milk producer.
