FCC moves to kill LightSquared over GPS interference concerns. “…government testing showed LightSquared’s network would cause widespread problems with GPS devices, including ones used by pilots to prevent their airplanes from crashing.” Reality trumps politics when bureaucrats and politicians find their own asses on the line.

GPS is not a primary navigational aid, nor does it keep airplanes from crashing. Sorry, gotta throw the BS flag on this one. FYI, using your cell phone during take off and landing won't crash the plane either. It can lead to a visit to airport jail if they catch you!
Is it possible it is not the GPS per se, but the interference of another signal that causes the problem? Sort of like a thunderstorm causing interference on your TV?
Not that "Dear Leader" is going to care, the bundled campaign cash has already made it's way to his war chest.

Since this will result in financial losses for several BO bundlers, we need to keep watch for a stealth bailout.
