Ryan has signed away his hope of ever gaining the support of the military and those of us who support it. Creating a budget on the backs of those who have or are serving is wrong and Ryan knows it. He's been hanging with bonehead and cantor way to long.
Ryan needs to remember that they will sell him out as fast as anyone if they think he is a liability to them, their goals and their power. Ryan lost my support with this bill. Leaves just two. Rand Paul or Ted Cruz. The rest of the pretenders can save their money and time and leave me the hell alone.
We conservatives and those who believe that the US Constitution is the law of the land have no use for weak kneed RINOs and ass kissers.
If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Paul Ryan Bonehead's little boy toy for a while (page, maybe)? I think he thinks he owes him some fealty. Ryan might be a financial and policy 'wonk,' but he's pissing into the wind and it's starting to stain his reputation, especially with veterans.

I just checked my disability status on the VA website, and my estimated completion date for my claim went from between Feb and Aug of 2014 to between 09/22/2014 and 03/05/2015!!
I filed in Nov of 2012, which means that now I will have to wait between 22 and 28 months for a decision!
The only thing that is keeping me from exploding is knowing that when they do finally give me disability, I will be paid retroactive to when I filed.
As bad as that is, Poppa, be grateful you aren't living in Canada. You'd be getting the same great "customer service" from the government, but on top of that someone with way too much power would determine that you were "angry" and that you might be prone to use your LEGAL firearms, so in the name of public safety (of course) they'll just remove those LEGAL firearms from your home without a warrant. Of course they'll tell you that you'll get them all back when you settle down, but guess what? They're lying. Yeah, I know you're shocked about that last part.
That's what happens when statism and progressivism get a stranglehold on your country.
Anyway, best of luck with your claim. Hopefully a miracle will happen and the bureaucracy will find a way of moving faster than a fly swimming in molasses.

What's amazing is that if you look at our constitution, it will guide you as to what we should be spending our money on, at least on the federal level. Raising & supporting our military is in there, & that includes after they come home. Most of what is considered sacred for too many in Congress cannot be found in the constitution. Not by the NSA or by someone dumb enough to actually read it for what it says. That needs to be the standard to which we hold our elected officials to, at least on the GOP side, since I don't believe Dems care about that at all, & if those leading the GOP don't listen, then a new party will rise as a 2nd choice. Because right now, at the establishment level, the Dems & the GOP are really both big gov't parties with no vision to make our nation better. I'm not talking about a 3rd party, I really talking about another 2nd party. If the national GOP tries to ram Christie, Rubio, or Jeb down our throats as a "conservative", my guess is we will see exactly that.
