The first Muslim Arab Miss USA, Rima Fakih, is conflicted. Very conflicted.
She loves President Obama, but she’s against the Ground Zero mosque. Yet she has somehow convinced herself that those two positions aren’t contradictory.
The bikini-clad hottie took time out of her busy Miss Universe pageant schedule to wax philosophically:
“I totally agree with President Obama with the statement on the constitutional rights of freedom of religion,” said Fakih. But the 24-year-old says while she supports freedom of religion in America, the people behind the mosque should consider the feelings of the families who lost loved ones on 9/11. ”It shouldn’t be so close to the World Trade Center. We should be more concerned with the tragedy than religion,” said Fakih.
Ladies and gentlemen, Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih. No fat, no fatwa.

The only reason she is doing this is because her parents are liberal. There is no other way.

Beats a burka any day. Speaking of beats, she would be beat (or stoned) to death for dressing like that in civilized Saudi Arabia or other "Muslim" civilized states. No wonder the 9-11 terrorists went to a T & A bar the night before!
I was about to make a similar comment. She has got TO KNOW that she wouldn't be alive in fundamental muslim countries and she would not be necessarily looked upon nicely in the most "civilized" or "moderate" muslim countries either.
