It could be that Obama has secretly sold Hawaii to China and the Aloha State is now part of the Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out this is true on the condition that China don't overtake it or spill the beans till OBlowme is out of office.
I'm booked for Hong Kong, Hawaii this Christmas. How bout you?
That's on the big island right? Or Maui... I can't ever seem to keep that one straight meself.
Oahu.
Gesundheit!
Thank you!
He said that he was home, Maybe he was thinking he was in Indonesia.
I thought he was Polish.... No?
Oh, that's just wrong, I apologize to all the Poles out there.
Hey, Polish jokes have been passe' since Pope JP2.
However....
....didja hear about the black guy who wouldn't join the NAACP?
He thought it stood for "Negroes Are Actually Colored Polacks!"
I gotta give him a pass on this one. Did he ask how to say "dickboy" in Asian?
Austrian.
Wait, he wasn't in Strasbourg, France. He was in Hawaiya. Asian. ;)
He was in Beaverton, Oregon. It's obvious that it was a "snafu" - something like a typo. He said 57 instead of 47 -ooooooo - that is something to glom onto when desperate to find faults. It's not like he claimed to be able to see Russia from his backyard or didn't know that China already has nukes.
Just a thought - if George W Bush, Sarah Palin, or any political official with an R designation had made this "snafu"...would you be as quick to defend THEM?
As a modeant independant, I would rag on anyone who couldn't manage the basics of the job. I laughed at Bush's mispronunciations, and I was horrified when his Dad threw up at State dinner. But neither of them ever forgot what country they were in, nor what country they represented and supported, unlike Fearless Leader.
I was replying to K8, but thanks for your input! Cheers!
Hey idiot! There are FIFTY states, not 47, not 57, FIFTY!!!! For about 40+ years now! And for your passin information, Palin almost CAN see Russia from her home, and she never said that. Tina Fey said it in a comedy skit!!!!!!!! I'm telling you is is chosen stupidity. Here's your sign!!!
Ahhhh. A 'SNAFU'. You know what that acronym means, don't you? It means that The One has happened upon an excellent metaphor for his entire presidency.
I can see how you stepped out of your norm and used logic on this response KB, good for you! It was "obvious that is was... a typo" - quite a logical conclusion since he didn't stumble, bumble, or fumble when he said it and thus one can assume he was reading it off the TOTUS (Teleprompter of the United States). And then attributing a quote from a comedian to a political figure in order to call her to fault? Talk about a stretch... That would be like taking the quote, "I am the dumbest dumb person on the face of the Earth." and attributing it to Mr. Obama. Or was it a character in "I, Robot" played by Will Smith? Let's just say Mr. Obama said it, for political arguments sake... riiiiight KB?
Come on Kate. Are you too stupid to follow the conversation? We're talking about the POTUS, not an actress on SNL. Dipshit
Oh and we're just poking fun at the clown. Unlike the rabid foaming at the mouth response ya'll dumbfuc*s had to that gal from up in Alaska. She got you so wound up you're still not over it I see. Pussy.
"It’s not like he claimed to be able to see Russia from his backyard or didn’t know that China already has nukes."
Actually, Tina Fey made that statement on SNL. Moron! You don't like being called that then don't be one
It takes a dumocrat to take comedy as truth.
And just who was it that said that they could see Russia from their back yard?
So that's why he keeps apologizing to Japan for World War II. They attacked an Asian state.
Hawaii has always been part of Asia. Update your reference books accordingly.

So...he WASN'T born in the USA?
That's what it sounds like he said.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Just wait until Letterman runs this on his "Great Moments In Presidential Speeches" mockery segment. Oh wait, Letterman doesn't mock gaffes in presidential speeches anymore since Bush left office.
Well, that's because The One doesn't make mistakes... riiiiight?
Gee - one would think someone born in Hawaii would know that it was a part of the United States.

You poor far righters. You're just about sweating blood to try to depict Obama as stupid and uneducated, aren't you?
I guess it never occurred to you that, when a person does a great deal of intercontinental traveling, it's easy to lose sight (even briefly) of where one is. (Especially when the meeting was attended primarily by Asian representatives.)
But keep it up. It's always amusing to see your desperation, when one of your own displays obvious ignorance, and you doggedly trot out that lame "Obama said there are 57 states! Obama said there are 57 states! OBAMA SAID THERE ARE 57 STATES!"
What's really funny is that those who attended that conference probably didn't even bat an eyelash over the error......while Americans like you are desperately hoping that it made the U.S. look bad to the rest of the world.
Oh puhleeze! Stoned Rock bands had a better record of keeping up with where they were. ANd the bottom line is this is the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES! He is held to a higher standard. THere is NO excuse for his repeated "mistakes" about the simple basics of the coountry he represents! We don't WANT him to make the U.S. bad. But he does. Repeatedly. And for those of us who love this country, and still (with all its problems) think it is the greatest country on earth, that is very upsetting. He wanted to be President, so he needs to fulfill that role, and defend the U.S. to the ends of the earth, and be knowlegeable about it!
Exactly! If the technology is as simple as writing it on masking tape on the bottom of a guitar, then even a complete and total imbecile ought to be able to figure it out. Especially if they've been burned before with other ridiculous gaffes (Reset buttons that are mislabeled, inaccurate count of states, etc., etc., etc...).
I thin that there is a problem with their learning curve. The "smartest people in the room" must not let anyone with an IQ over 70 in with them. What do they have? A sign by the door "You must have an IQ <70 to enter?" I have it! They just don't grok the greater than and less than symbols.
It's either that, or they pissed their roadies off.
Olivia, why don't you quit licking Oblowme's scroate long enough to figure out the pimp doesn't know how to count. If he would've studied AMERICAN HISTORY like the citizens here did when they went to school he would know exactly how many states we have. Supposedly he graduated from COLLEGE here so there's no excuse for his ignorance, even future citizens here learn this But, I never knew a muslim that had any knowledge of the U.S. anyway other than crying how their rights are being violated. ALL adult beastialic pedophile muslims need to be exterminated. Period. Oh, and prove to me they don't fall into these catagories.
It feels so good to have my morning turds again.
Piss off you stinking wretch.
What’s really funny is that those who attended that conference probably didn’t even bat an eyelash over the error……while Americans like you are desperately hoping that it made the U.S. look bad to the rest of the world.
********************************************************
Because they were too dumb to question the error or to "blind" to acknowledge the error?
Oh and you're right about the intercontinental traveling and getting mixed up about where you're at. Clearly they need to re-commission the SR-71 fleet to fly in a fresh teleprompter crew at each new location during a Presidential tour of the world. The cost would be worth it to shut up the right wingers that think it's funny when Boobykins steps on his labia in public.
I don't care who you are, that sh*t's funny, right there.
That's what I like about you, Olivia, you will make a case, no matter how pathetically weak, to defend Obama knowing full well that you don't have a leg to stand on. Keep it up, my girl. He needs all the defenders he can get these days.
I would love to know how you have come to the conclusion that this statement in any way translates to not knowing Hawaii is part of the US - you're reaching....really reaching... and just letting you know I may not answer your response immediately - that seems to be something people here expect.
Well, Hawaii is American, he called t "right here in Asia" so that sort of sounds like maybe he lost track of the fact that Hawaii has been a state since the late 50's.
Apparently you are as dumb as the Obummer. Hawaii is part of the Polynesian Island Chain and has never been part of Asia or the Americas. Are you getting the point now? Do you now understand how stupid Obummers statement was?
The blindness of the the liberal left continues to astound me.
We here on the Left have no sense of humor that we are aware of.
You could have just stopped and put the period after the word "sense".
Was that a Men in Black reference?
The MIB reference might have been one of those complete coinkydinks!
ummmm....knowing Barb, I'd say it was deliberate.
I think that was another drive by
Probably.
Is Hawaii part of Asia? Is there any part of the United States which is part of Asia?
What about China Town...does that count?
Westminster California. I'm pretty sure it is officially a part of VietNam.
Or maybe the Phillipines?
Ah there is Rancho Cambodia formerly known as Rancho Cordova in Sacramento County....
WoW - taking a tongue in cheek comment as serious commentary. Now there's a stretch... Here is an explanation for you (and others lacking a sense of humor, or irony): I came to say that because of the whole "birther" thing, and ironically the statement he made concerns his home state and how the claim to his citizenship is made. I cannot seriously fathom the fact that you couldn't see the irony, and thus the humor in that. WoW again! Sheesh.
Liberal=no sense of humopr.
