Here is a sad fact...
The American car industry is no longer about Detroit. The "Big 3" days are long gone. It all about right to right states & car companies like Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, or BMW
...the UAW is just on life support, & when it's over, that is gonna be ugly.
None of the Big 3, including Ford, should be allowed to say they are built in America anymore. Instead, they should say "assembled in America", that is closer to the truth.
Engines and drivetrain components come from Japan or Canada. Electrical and electronic components come from China, Korea or Taiwan. Less than half of a new vehicle is made in America anymore, mainly thanks to the EPA and unions.
Didnt they steal the stock from the legitimate stock holders and give it to the unions? There is nothing American about them!!!!
Goobermint Motors can have all the cross country tours they want, the bottom line is I refuse to purchase their garbage.
I’ve been a GM guy all my life. I really want a XTS but I refuse to buy GM. I will buy a car not built by the UAW.

Well then, may I respectfully suggest you give Ford another look. They are doing some amazing stuff right now with their Eco-Boost engines and they are the only ones who didn't take the bailout. The Fusion and C-Max hybrids are kicking Toyota's butt. (full disclosure - I own an F-150 and a Focus, but also have 2 Pontiacs, a Chevy and a '73 Charger sitting in my driveway.)
I've got a Ford, Honda and Dodge. I like the Ford the best. It is certainly the most fun to drive.
I hear Ford is doing a major recall on trucks and some cars with ecoboost engines. Seems when you do a hard acceleration (like when passing) the engine suddenly loses power. I would say buy Honda or Toyota, but since they moved building to America, it seems they are having increasingly more problems. Doesn't say much for American workers.

Like all gooberment agencies, GM has to spend money they don't have to try to tell everyone what a good product they have. If they built a solid, reliable vehicle instead of pieces of shit, like the Volt, they wouldn't need to waste so much of our money on advertising.
Nothing like gubbermint-funded screw-the-rule-of-law-and-the-bondholders crony-capitalist "free enterprise." They are either too stupid or too cynical to notice the irony. You decide which.
