Step three: Use your leverage to force that party into doing whatever it is you want. Step four: destroy that party and pick it’s carcass clean. I think it's closer to home for the UAW asshats that favored this Ponzi Scheme with the gubmint in the first place. They know that if Romney gets into the WH he will allow GM to go through a proper bankruptcy and they'll get the screwing they so richly deserve...commie bastards! Bleed 'em dry. I have liberal relatives heavily invested in the AFL-CIO and UAW, they're all swine and they're all brain damaged, and they're all Donks, and they're all liberal or worse. F***em! F***em all! If GM can convince the UAW to cover the $15billion that the taxpayer would lose if they are allowed out of gov't control, then fine.
BTW, when the Obama regime is history, the GM bailout should be revisited & maybe reformed in a more proper manner.
He wants the $14 billion (and climbing) "unrealized loss" by the US Treasury to get realized after he's gone. It's just that simple.
Surely no one outside of GM is surprised. If GM is indeed surprised, then shame on it.
There is no way that the government will let GM go until the stock price gets close to the breakeven point of about $52. The US government will lose billions if GM were to sell the government stake now. Bad for us and bad for GM. Of course, BHO still thinks he saved the auto industry and the idiots who support him or do not know any better believe him.
It was'nt GM that was bailed out, it was the UAW. Obama can't allow GM to go down. What should have happened is that GM should have goone through a proper bankrupsy, & maybe guys like Roger Penski could have bought Saturn, or Pontiac, or Hummer, & made the changes needed to make it work. Olds went away some time before, & we will never know.
Penske could probably find an engineer that could design an ignition switch for the Saturn that would work longer than a couple months. GM wasn't capable of it.
