Taking the peace out of Greenpeace

On April 1 – but make no mistake, this was not an April Fools Day prank – Greenpeace’s international website posted the following message on it’s homepage:

The proper channels have failed. It’s time for mass civil disobedience to cut off the financial oxygen from denial and scepticism. If you’re one of those who believe that this is not just necessary but also possible, speak to us. Let’s talk about what that mass civil disobedience is going to look like. If you’re one of those who have spent their lives undermining progressive climate legislation, bankrolling junk science, fuelling spurious debates around false solutions and cattle-prodding democratically-elected governments into submission, then hear this: We know who you are. We know where you live. We know where you work. And we be many, but you be few.

Obviously, this thinly-veiled blatant threat didn’t sit well with skeptics. The Greenpeace PR machine went into action, adding a supposedly soothing note to the blog that said the author was “known around the Greenpeace world for stating his opinion loud and clear, and not being a diplomat”. He is “a genuinely peaceful guy,” it went on to say, “who believes in the power of peaceful protest to change the world.”

Right. He believes in peaceful protest to change the world. Well, that and coming to you house and kicking your ass if he sees a gas guzzler in your driveway.

if their return envelopes have prepaid postage on them, send the envelope back empty. Each piece will cost them money. Money they can’t spend on something foolish.
I do that with AARP letters.

  • I have a gun but wouldn't need it against those pencil necks. I would find pleasure in gettin physical with the likes of those rodents.

  • people always talk about two new civil wars:
    race war
war of secession (texas leaves, president tries to be lincoln, fails hard, etc)

i think that the only civil war we SHOULD have, is green, versus everyone the hell else.

oh hell yes, could you imagine going on a hybrid hunt? it would probably play out like one of those lion stalks gazelle videos on discovery

really, i just want an excuse to smash in one of their faces, and blow up one of their cars

  • I keep getting mailings from Greenpeace telling me that I as a member (I am not and never was) should continue the fight and blah blh bah and please give us money and if you do get a free whatever. Never given them money never signed up for anything, I guess they feel that if I am considered a member I will send them funds... I called and told them I do not want your mailings stop... they don't. I am sick of them. They come to my house they will get a big surprise.

  • It is my experience jukin that the french actually smell better than greenpeace activists. no matter how much they bathe in patchouli oil, the hellafied stench is omnipresent!
Don't get me wrong, the french are smelly too, but they actually bathe in water and soap, so the b.o. isn't nearly as bad as those who don't bathe at all!

  • To go further on Max's statement-if they make it past the signs in the driveway, all the way to the porch, they may find out what the capabilities of a small caliber, high velocity tracer round are. Fear not though-I use "green" ammo that contains a very small amount of lead, so as to not damage the environment if there is a "through and through" wounding and the round ends up in the ecosystem! I share the same desire Green Piece (that is a willful misspelling) does, inasmuch as I don't litter, and try to use only ammo that doesn't poison the environment. Of course, if one of those crazy's black blood should spill-I cannot be held responsible for the environmental hazard that would be created.

    • Look at it this way, youve just reduced the human impact on the planet by one person and that person is now instantly turned into biodegradable fertilizer. Its win win!

  • among my other politically incorrect actions, i am armed. several times over. and yes i am a rotten shot. fortunately shotguns make up for this failing. kick my door in & find out ...

  • Those "bankrolling junk science, fuelling spurious debates around false solutions and cattle-prodding democratically-elected governments into submission, then hear this: We know who you are. We know where you live. We know where you work. And we be many, but you be few."

Funny, I think we all feel the same way!

    • ...We know who you are. We know where you live. We know where you work. We know this because we are the ones involved in all the...
“bankrolling junk science, fuelling spurious debates around false solutions and cattle-prodding democratically-elected governments into submission.

So we are planning a big rally where we will hunt each other down, throw rocks in our own windows and call each other stupid names.

  • Their religion has been proven false and they feel like cornered mice for it because without their ideology they have nothing, so rather than admit that they were wrong and get mad at those who lied to and misled them they're calling for a fight. Swing away, Green-piece of S#*T. Your cause is dead.
