Harry Reid travels to Las Vegas Clean Energy Summit in a caravan of gas-guzzling SUVs

Harry Reid is (a) clean, (b) green and (c) a moron.

The Senate Majority Leader made a grand entrance to the Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas last week in a caravan of fuel-inefficient SUVs.

The Detroit News has, as its name would imply, the news:

The Heartland Institute reports that while the Senate Majority Hypocrite “and other high-profile environmental activists blasted carbon-based fuels at the Reid-sponsored summit, Reid and other bigwigs were caught on film driving to and from the summit in several SUVs.”

“I was absolutely astonished, not to mention appalled, that Harry Reid would retain a fleet of gas-guzzling SUVs so that he and a few aides would not have to walk the mere 100 yards to address environmental activists,” said Heartland Institute Senior Fellow James M. Taylor, who took the attached photo. “If greenhouse gas emissions are such a problem, you would think Reid might have actually made the short stroll through the parking lot, or at least retain Priuses rather than large SUVs for the summit,” said Taylor.

Read your own words, Taylor. The man would have had to walk 100 yards. One hundred yards. Have you seen Harry Reid lately? We’re not sure the decrepit old curmudgeon could actually walk that far under his own power.

  • Why can't we just have idiots like Reid, Gore, Kerry, Pelosi, ad infinitum, donate the bulk of their personal fortunes toward paying off the national debt as an act of good faith instead of doing the crap they do, talking the crap they talk, and spending our tax dollars on a fore mentioned crap? Naw... that would never happen.

  • And how much Jet fuel did he burn flying to this event, then flying back to D.C.? Don't the environmentalists tell us that air traffic is the highest pollutant around?

  • What is odd is that I really believe that Harry Reid has NO clue as to how badly he pisses off the majority of Americans.

  • You'd think Harry could have sprung for a few more green hard hats and shirts so that all of the 20 people in attendance would match.

  • Not all of the vehicles were gas-guzzlers. Harry's was retro-fitted to run on political promises, aka hot air.

  • So, Harry (and Al Gore, et al) I have a question for you: how are you gas-burning jet setters any different brand of hypocrite than pedophile priests?

    You stupid fish heads!
