The Bush administration wanted to export democracy. The Obama administration only wants to export your tax dollars. After all, the Stimulus worked sooooo well here that its benefits should be shared with the world.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced new funding to the Palestinian Authority and held talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit on Wednesday, a day before her scheduled meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in New York.
Clinton said that she and her Egyptian counterpart discussed several issues here in Washington, ranging from Israeli-Palestinian issues to the international tribunal investigating the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
“It is important that we do everything we can at a particularly sensitive time in the region to try to redouble our efforts to achieve a two-state solution [to Israeli-Palestinian tensions], to help stabilize the situation in Sudan, and to work to ensure that the people of Lebanon can have accountability in the search for justice,” said Hillary Clinton.
Blah, blah, blah, Hillary. How, exactly, are we going solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? By giving the Palestinians money, of course.
Earlier, Clinton announced that the United States has transferred $150 million in new aid to the Palestinian Authority to help close its budget gap.
“This new funding will help the Palestinian Authority pay down its debt, continue to deliver services and security to its people, and keep the progress going,” she said. “It will support our work together to expand Palestinians’ access to schools, clinics and clean drinking water in both the West Bank and Gaza [Strip].”
The secretary of state said the funds bring U.S. direct budget assistance to the Palestinian Authority to $225 million this year. Overall support and investment to the Palestinians is nearly $600 million for the year.
Got that? It’s not just a cash bonanza for the terrorists, it’s an investment. That is, “the investing of money or capital in order to gain profitable returns.”
Note to the Obama administration: This investment’s going to turn out about as profitably as the one you made in General Motors. Except that General Motors doesn’t want to kill every single one of us.

I agree with RIM I dont think she should have this authority something else is going on here and it is highly corrupt and disgusting and we as citizens are far removed and that should change.
Hmmmm, this really reminds me of all the interest and money Pres Clinton and Soro's were pumping into Haiti for a sweet escape (high end resorts) before the disaster.. then how Clinton got on tv begging the public to give, give, give so they can rebuild and help Haiti make it resort worthy to boost their economy and help the people get back on their feet... yeah right. Think investments, or cover story!!!
We have been throwing money down the dry well that is Palestine for years, and what good has it done? The general population is poor, starving, out of work, you know, like America. Besides while I agree in theory with a Palestinian State, the only state that Palestine will be willing to accept is Israel. They have a one track agenda. Eliminate Israel, take over the progress that has been made there in the last 60 years and turn it back into the crappy desert it was in the 40's.
Considering about 200 million of barry's campaign dollars came from there, and he had phone banks there robo-calling voters, it is apparent they must keep them happy by sending money to them. Also, there is most definitely a clause in the contract for that money that a large portion of it has to be sent to the DNC come the next election cycle, via the same throw-away debit cards that were used in the 08 general!

How many AK-47s can you buy for $150,000,000? This money will not go to the building of schools or the repair of infrastructure or to "keep the progress going". Much of it will go into the pockets of the corrupt thugs who run the PA, some of it will go for the purchase of weapons and explosive and the rest will be simply wasted.

Just doing some simple math this is a $1.2 billion hit to our debt.
$600 million more that we will have to borrow this year to pay for the funding we are giving them + $600 million we are not paying towards our own debt = a $1.2 billion swing in our debt.
I think we could buy a few really great neutron bombs on 150M and use them in Gaza. They would clear the way for what should be, and would leave the infrastructure in tact(what little there is). 800 m bucks these assnuggets have received this year-and I'll bet 500M or more of that is in swiss bank accounts owned by certain scumbags who "lead" the PA.
Amen Matthew. Arafat's wife still is notorious for going on shopping sprees in Paris (where she lifed for decades) while her hubby was busy organizing intifadas and boinking little boys. She still has millions of foreign aid that Arafat stuffed away in swiss bank accounts. Abbas is no better and Hamas rules Gaza with an iron fist with Iranian funding.
