Ron Paul could have made such a society possible.
There is a big difference between being left alone, and being so annoying that nobody wants to talk to you.

Just a heads up: liberals aren't technocratic. That would imply they pick people who actually know how the real world works for positions. You know, like real doctors for looking at healthcare reform, an actual farmer for the head of the USDA, or a practicing engineer to be Secretary of Energy.
Progressives are administrators. Usually bad ones. This piece is interesting and I thought enough of it to post on my FB wall. I don't like gay marriage. The imagery grosses me out for starters and none of us know what if any will be the long term effect on kids raised in gay households. That being said, my libertarian streak causes me to face my own bigotry and try to tolerate it if not accept it. Not easy.

I tend to think great majority of kids involved muddle through. Obviously i don't have stats. No amount of bad statistics for hetero or foster parentage will stop either of those institutions either
Like I said, I have to confront my own bigotry about this issue. I know well that the sun will still rise if this whole thing comes to pass. I just prefer to think of marriage as something different. I have no beef with a pair who want to merge their property and be a family with the same legal recognition as I have. I just wish we could keep the word "marriage" out of it.
BTW, as I write this I am at an airport sitting next to a super hot ginger and just once again thankful that I am straight.
