I gotta admit that I have not fantasized about 14 year olds since I was about 14 or 15 years old. Once you are a legal adult & are old enough to drink, your mind should be past junior & high school students. If not, you will have problems.
Problem is dany, some of the high school girls look/act so much older now that you have to card them before striking up a conversation, lest you unknowingly fall into the dirty old man category.
Although at my age it's not a problem. If they are not at least showing signs of "laugh lines", they are probably too young.

Tell me about it. I was waiting for my lunch at the drive through window at Arby's one afternoon, and thought the cute girl at the window might be a good match for my 31 year old nephew. I started talking to her to find out more about her and found out she was 17! I had not expected that, she was finished with school and working full time at 17! Even my nephew wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole! I had her pegged for 25.
I get the point, but always do a backround check of sorts. If you don't you could end up as a registered sex offender.

Regardless, this is unacceptable. The guy is clearly a pedophile, but that's not illegal (and shouldn't be) until and unless he actually ACTS on it. BUT the fact that he uses his position of authority to harass women (of ANY age) in a sexual manner is the bigger issue here. We all know that sex is often about power and not love. These predators push their way into positions of power and then they take advantage of the fact that many women will willingly pursue that power. That is unavoidable, I guess. But when the man in power USES his position to push, entice or coerce women into sex (which clearly this butt-ugly turd has to do), that's when we need to step in.
But you are right. This is just a resume-enhancer for this nasty creep. He's following right in Bill Clinton's footsteps.

I doubt that.. going after younger/teenage girls is as old as the species. That's why there are laws. Pushback against that has nothing to do with the gays. Just imagine decades from now when markets provide functioning consumer sexbots. We have no idea what forms and conflicts will emerge out of that..
Iranians codify in law exactly what and where and who you can touch and at what age, and how to address grievances for the older creeps who've gone too far with young girls. Older kids used to tell me "old enough to bleed, old enough to breed", when I was 8. Didn't even know what the hell that meant, at the time.
Wrong. The gay rights movement is the spearhead of the "We can't possibly control ourselves" movement. In order to sell their idea to the American people (and really all of Western Civilization) they had to invent a unicorn called "gay monogamy." And now that everyone's bought into it, the mask is coming off and no one cares. Instead, they're accomodating gays by turning into gays themselves, and saying, "I think I'll center my relationships around lust, whim and compulsion too!"
Yes, these things have always existed... but only at horrible times in history (fall of Rome, etc.) have they been given a green light by the culture.
Nothing you said ties age old lust for teenage girls, or pushback against associated laws, to the gay rights movement. But you did assert that I'm Wrong, so that must mean something
Theonly place I see this relating to gays, and I have thought about it myself, is that we used to think gays were sinners, or if you are non religious, outside the social mores of our society. If our attitude toward gays change that it is ok becaue because because, then maybe pedophelia is next to become " an alternate lifestyle." Many cultures intentionally have adults start inculcating sexual techniques and behaviours by adults toward children. Then what, Bestiality? Maybe Islam is merely celebrating an alternate lifestyle by screwing goats (i note no one asked the goats their opinion on this,,) Thenmaybe we could ok snuff films, because the are aftere all, consenting adults (sort of.) Its the whole slippery slope thing.
It's all about cultural acceptance. (I actually had a long comment, but my modem crapped out on me and wiped it all out. I wrote the short comment in sheer rage. I hate my f-ing modem!)
There were times in history when dirty old men were culturally accepted: fall of Rome comes to mind.
We're headed toward that cultural acceptance again, and it's the gay rights movement leading the charge.
My sympathies regarding modem. I can understand your frustration with, say, NAMBLA attempting to piggyback on increasingly liberalized cultural views hard fought and won by gay rights movement. But that's not the fault of gays, whom I believe deserve tolerance from larger society.
Same with this scumbag in the article. He should've been born to fundamentalist Islamic theocracy. Its a done deal there, and has everything to do with ancient unenlightened morals and baser biological imperatives, and nothing to do with ze gays.

I kinda have to disagree with you on gay monogamy. There are many monogamous gays, you just don't see them in the parades in San Fran. Just like you don't see hetero couples parading themselves around to make a point.
That's very true there are plenty of monogamous gays. Many are actually quite conservative, professionals with good incomes.
Many conservative gays are why the nude guys in the Castro were outlawed.
SF certainly wouldn't have ever listened to straight people complaining about it.
Under 4% of gays are monogamous. That's under 4% of 2% of the population. You could probably fit their names on a single sheet of paper.
I'm surrounded by gays. They think monogamy is a joint checking account and picking out home decor together. (I'm not being facetious.) Then when Friday night rolls around, they go to "parties" and it's a free-for-all. The next day, the one who didn't get any "good" action stomps around the house scowling and does the old "silent treatment." Then his friends tell him to stop being so possessive and everything's all set up for the next weekend.
It's actually kind of creepy when I'm at their house and they talk about marriage, then they talk about a party they were at last weekend, they wink at each other across the room and snicker, "Yeah, it got pretty crazy."
Perhaps that is your experience with a particular couple or group of couples. I have known gays who remained in committed relationship for years, without outside wandering. Of course, the behaviour your describe can also be seen in an increasing number of heterosexual couples.

There are many reasons not to live in NYC- the smell, the crime, the 10,000 or so people who go missing every year, the taxes, Bloomberg, gangs, drugs....but this guy is the very best reason I can think of.....if the voters put douchenozzles like this in office there, they obviously hate themselves, and everyone around them-and that makes for a dangerous environment for me/the family....and if someone said that shit about my daughter, if I was a judge or not, that person would be pushing daisies!
