Prom night at the State of the Union was a complete sham. Republican sitting next to Democrat, each one adorned with a black and white ribbon instead of a corsage. The only thing missing was a rousing rendition of Kumbaya.
The fact that is was nonsense is clearly demonstrated in this interview on WLS Radio in Chicago. All the proof you could possibly need that it was an exercise in phony public relations, a farce concocted purely for public consumption is provided by idiot Rep. Danny Davis (D-IL).
How else can you explain that Davis doesn’t have the slightest clue who the person in the next seat was.

We need to send a very, very stern warning letter to the RHINOlicans and remind them that this is the kind of stupid, vacuous, go-along-to-get-along, cross the isle, make nice with our commie neighbors (democrats) crap that got them into trouble in the first place. Stop trying to be the minority party and grow a pair of balls, hell you can borrow Sarah Palin's, she has more than enough to go around, and start acting like you're in charge of the House! Actually, in a way, it was a great scam for the Dems. If everyone sat where they were supposed to, you know, with their party, the GOP would look like they have a large majority in the House, & they do. But it looked about even, & sounded worse.
