The fraud in the 2010 census continues unabated. Last week we reported the story of the Census Bureau repeatedly hiring and firing and rehiring the same workers in order to boost Obama’s vaunted employment numbers.
Now James O’Keefe brings us his latest undercover exploits – exposing rampant payroll fraud at the Census Bureau.
In the words of one census supervisor, “Ssssssh.”

I am ill. Ill. disgusted at the people that gave the money away with no problem and disgusted at the "workers" that were in it for the easy money. wow... disgusting doesn't even BEGIN to explain this.
As legitimate as this story is, I don't see it as a major issue. It's pretty standard in industry. In my office, part of a major conglomerate, we let all of the hourly staff go at 3 last Friday. We'll probably do it again going into July 4th. A standard motivation technique when you're training people is to give them the carrot of an early dismissal if they master the material for that day early. There are a million bigger issues out there. I like O'Keefe's stuff, but he needs to find a better issue.
I am a Census employee, a crew leader, and during my training we were strictly allowed to only put the actual hours worked. When I trained my 18 enumerators I did the same and in fact fired one of my trainees the second day for falsifying his mileage by 5 miles after being warned not to the previous day. Is there fraud that goes on or fudging of hours? Probably, same as in private industry. I can't stand Obama or his policies however the Census is mandated by law, and the Constitution and the 10 questions are one of the shortest in history and not in depth- your local grocery store probably has a bigger file on you and they are not mandated to hold that information confidential for 72 years,as the Census is. There has NEVER been a census that asked just for the number of people in a household-not even the first one in 1790. So please quit bashing ALL census workers-most of mine are unemployed professionals and this work is a God send to them.
I don't think this is so much the actual census workers themselves, as much as it is the upper management. Obama needs to pad his figures in any way he can, to become The One. While there are many very dedicated, hard-working people at the ground level of the census, there are equally as many corrupt, infantile morons at the top.
As far as I am concerned this yutz should disappear like Jimmy Hoffa.
Your name tells me all I need to know about you. Both parts.
?
Wiccan and Wolf. Both can create negative images for some people.
You didn't think she was talking about you, did you?
I wasn't sure, it would have really surprised me! I actually forgot about that turd.
I replied to his statement not yours. I thought it would be obvious.
You're Wiccan? You're just frustrated because nobody takes you seriously.
Why?
I certainly hope your not speaking of Jimmy-James O'Keefe....
I certainly hope your not speaking of Jimmy-James....
Lesseee...This li'l PIG wet to,,,
Ugh!
Maybe they can offer O'Keefe a high level WH job? That ought to shut him up!
Our government at work. This is a new program. Just think of all the fraud and waste with welfare, Medicare, and other government programs at whatever level. Makes the census people look like amateurs.
Not surprisingly, this comes as a shock to nobody. While they're at it, why don't they make every postal employee an indepenant contractor for a day, then re-hire them? That would single-handedly end the recession. This is the "hopey-changie" that those dullards voted for. Welcome to the street corner, and P-BO is playing three card monte with employment.
