Trump signs memorandum excluding undocumented immigrants from census reapportionment. President Trump just costs the Democrats some seats in the house and money to blow on garbage if this sticks.
President Donald Trump signed a memorandum Tuesday that seeks to bar people in the U.S. illegally from being counted in congressional reapportionment, a move that drew immediate criticism from Democratic officials.
Court Denies Injunction in EPIC Census Privacy Suit. This is indeed ‘epic.’ As of now they can basically ask if you’re illegal. This could reduce the number of seats the Democrats have in the House and the number of Electoral College votes, not to mention reducing Federal funds states like California blow on illegal aliens. No doubt this will go to a higher court. Oh, by the way elections have consequences, this judge is a Trump appointee.
A federal court has denied EPIC’s motion for a preliminary injunction and refused to block the Census Bureau from collecting citizenship information via the 2020 Census.
The cost of the 2010 census has already soared 325% higher than the cost of the 2000 census. There are a lot of reasons, but let’s start with the most obvious one. They hired 550,000 census workers.

The cost of the 2010 census has already soared 325% higher than the cost of the 2000 census. There are a lot of reasons, but let’s start with the most obvious one. They will hire 1.4 million people.
That’s more people than work in the airline industry, electronics and appliance stores, the oil and gas business, the railroad industry, and just a hair fewer than the number who work for all of America’s utilities combined.
The Examiner.com reveals some of the other eye-popping expenses:
Based on its outrageous cost overruns, we humbly suggest that they change the officlal name of this operation from “the Census” to ObamaCount.

The fraud in the 2010 census continues unabated. Now James O’Keefe brings us his latest undercover exploits – exposing rampant payroll fraud at the Census Bureau.
The fraud in the 2010 census continues unabated. Last week we reported the story of the Census Bureau repeatedly hiring and firing and rehiring the same workers in order to boost Obama’s vaunted employment numbers.
Now James O’Keefe brings us his latest undercover exploits – exposing rampant payroll fraud at the Census Bureau.
In the words of one census supervisor, “Ssssssh.”
At the rate the Census Bureau is creating jobs, it may singlehandedly wipe out unemployment. Of course, the whole damn thing is as phony as Obama’s birth certificate, but phony seems to trump reality in Washington, DC these days.

At the rate the Census Bureau is creating jobs, it may singlehandedly wipe out unemployment. Of course, the whole damn thing is as phony as Obama’s birth certificate, but phony seems to trump reality in Washington, DC these days.
The New York Post recounts the phony job count:
Last week, one of the millions of workers hired by Census 2010 to parade around the country counting Americans blew the whistle on some statistical tricks.
The worker, Naomi Cohn, told The Post that she was hired and fired a number of times by Census. Each time she was hired back, it seems, Census was able to report the creation of a new job to the Labor Department. . . .
Each month Census gives Labor a figure on the number of workers it has hired. That figure goes into the closely followed monthly employment report Labor provides. For the past two months the hiring by Census has made up a good portion of the new jobs.
Labor doesn’t check the Census hiring figure or whether the jobs are actually new or recycled. It considers a new job to have been created if someone is hired to work at least one hour a month.
One hour! A month! So, if a worker is terminated after only one hour and another is hired in her place, then a second new job can apparently be reported to Labor.
Do you ever feeling that we’re living in some sort of strange, alternate universe?

The Harvard-educated President seems to have intentionally overlooked his caucasian mother’s contribution to his racial makeup and checked only one box – the one that said “Black, African Am., or Negro”.
The Population Reference Bureau says:
The 2010 Census continues the option first introduced in the 2000 Census for respondents to choose more than one race.
The law states that fines of up to $500 may be assessed for submitting false information, so we expect Attorney General Eric Holder to come knocking on the White House door any day now.
In other news, Obama’s Alzheimers condition will not be covered under new health care plan.

We never expect much from an government agency. In fact, when it comes to the Census Bureau, we’re just hoping it’s better at counting people than it is at counting money.

Fox News tells the tale of incomparable counting incompetence:
The U.S. Census is well into conducting its constitutionally mandated 2010 count but the exercise is already running over budget.
Taxpayers are footing the bill of $14.7 billion for 10 years of Census counting. That price tag supports 500 local offices and a peak staff of 1.4 million workers.
But some cost overruns have already plagued this Census, like when tens of thousands of workers fanned out between March and July of last year to verify addresses — a process known as “address canvassing.” The Census Bureau, federal auditors later found, ran 25 percent over budget for a total cost of $444 million.
“When I arrived in July, the findings of that overrun were just emerging,” Census Director Robert Groves said. “There was an underestimation of just the workload — how many houses we had to go to.”
Auditors also found the Census Bureau provided training to some 15,000 workers who either worked not at all or less than a single day — at a total cost of $5.5 million.
It was either that or 5.5 million workers at a cost of $15,000. The Census Bureau isn’t sure which.

The Census Bureau wasted $2.5 million tax dollars to run one thirty second commercial during the Super Bowl. We can only assume they wanted to run as many spots as Bud, but held back out of respect for the new austerity program the President talked about during his State of the Union Address.

As if pounding $2.5 million down a rat hole wasn’t bad enough, the commercial was easily the most remarkably dull, mind-numbingly unintelligible commercial of the day.
Your tax dollars at work.
In the final pre-count estimate just released by the Census Bureau, we already have a broad idea of where the results are headed and what they will mean politically. The numbers are cause for alarm for Democrats.

The Democrats are counting on their friends at ACORN to “help out” with the 2010 census. And if this analysis is correct, they need all the help they can get.
The Washington Times reports the depressing details for Democrats:
… in the final pre-count estimate just released by the Census Bureau, we already have a broad idea of where the results are headed and what they will mean politically.
The numbers are cause for alarm for Democrats.Of the states gaining House seats — Texas (three) and Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, South Carolina, Utah and Washington — only Washington is reliably Democratic, having last voted for a Republican presidential candidate in 1984.
Of the states losing seats and electors — Ohio (two), Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania — only Louisiana is reliably Republican. And the fact that there are 170,000 fewer residents of New Orleans than before Hurricane Katrina has made the state even more reliably red.
But the real shocker is California. After a consistently large gains in the second half of the 20th century, California is on track for only 9 percent growth in the first decade of the 21st. Compare that to 14 percent growth in the ’90s, 26 percent growth in the ’80s, 19 percent in the ’70s and 27 percent in the ’60s.
9% growth in California? Build a wall on the Mexican border and the population won’t increase at all. Of course, you’d also have to build a wall along the Nevada border to retain the legal residents.

It’s been a good week for Glenn Beck. A very good week. First Van Jones “resigned” as Green Jobs Czar. Then Yosi Sergant was “reassigned” at the National Endowment for the Arts when down. Now the Census Bureau has fired ACORN.

Take the rest of the weekend off, Glenn.
After that 9/12 event, that is.
Taxpayer-funded PBS journalist Bonnie Erbe has some advice for Democrats: politicize the 2010 Census, then use the biased numbers to jam pack Congress full of left wing wackos.
“Depoliticize the Census?” PSB “journalist” she wrote in her blog at US News & World Report. “Surely they jest!”
“The Census is part of the spoils of victory for whichever party controls the White House at the turn of each decade,” she added. “Gerrymandering—using Census data to create voting districts that artificially lean toward one end of the political spectrum or the other—is as uniquely an American tradition as Thanksgiving. The thought of trying to depoliticize the census is, well, decidedly un-American.”
Let us now translate Erbe’s concluding sentence.
What she said was, “So gerrymander away with the 2010 Census and spare us the theatrics of trying to look nonpartisan.”
What she meant was, “This could guarantee another generation of funding for the partisan hacks at PBS.”

Hispanic and black groups didn’t like the idea of Republican Judd Gregg being named Commerce Secretary and having responsibility for the census. No, no, no. Didn’t like it at all.
So President Obama compliantly stripped census responsibilities away from Gregg and said the Director of the Census would now report directly to the White House. Republicans know that when Obama said “White House,” he really means Rahm Emanual, long-time Democratic political operative and nastiest man in Washington, DC.
The census is important politically because it is used to re-apportion congressional districts and to dole out federal funding. So it probably won’t be long before ACORN volunteers are hired to handle the census as efficiently as they already handle voter registration.
Consider it corruption you can believe in.
