Congresswoman says Americans are too stupid to understand the debt ceiling debate. And that’s where the fun begins.

jan schakowsky

We were just thinking that we hadn’t heard anything really stupid from Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky for a while. And then, bang! She solved that problem.

In this clip the Socialistkowski says that she agrees with President Obama that average Americans are just incapable of comprehending the debt ceiling and the dire threat to social security.

And then she demonstrates that she can’t explain it herself.

Classic socialist stupidity from Schakowsky.

  • "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure.
It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills.
It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies.
Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally.
Leadership means that, 'the buck stops here.'
Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren.
America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

    -- Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

Ain't it cool when their own words come back to bite them in the butt!!!

  • Well Lanny,

To be fair to the lending institutions, most if not all of them, were legally required to make these risky loans because of people like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd. These two, and especially Barney Frank, kept federal regulators at bay for almost a decade while they helped unleash economic Armageddon. They're definitely two of the princes in this satanic cabal! If I had to name names, they'd factor up there with Immelt, Rockefeller, Soros, et al.

  • Here's a little experiment the Congresswoman (or anyone else) can try at home.

Call up your credit card company and tell them, "I've spent too much this month and can't continue to make my payments. However, if you raise my credit limit, I can pay you."

    See what they say.

The concept of credit limits for nations is no different than it is for individuals. If you have to borrow the money to make the payments, you're in way over your head.

  • Elliminate the wasteful government imposed SPENDING period! Have not heard one peep from anyone mentioning to DOWNSIZE the government. Most corporations do this in times of financial trouble, why can't the gov'ment? Also downsize the government through normal attrition.

  • Every week the government takes social security out of my paycheck.

And every month people like my parents get a check from social security.

In the months of July and August, the amount paid in (by people like me) exceeds the amount distributed (to people like my parents).

How the hell does the debt ceiling enter into this equation???

    • Lanny, in this case it doesn't. But Mr. Greenjeans-In-Chief wants everybody to think it does. Every month government revenue is around $170 billion dollars and monthly expenses are around $163 billion dollars, so there's plenty of money to service our debt payment, pay granny, and pay our essential military bills, ie., our soldiers! If we don't pay granny or our soldiers it's only because the Grandstander-In-Chief doesn't want to pay them. I think the real issue here is this phony crisis, jinned up by Soros and Sons (sons here refers to anybody and everybody that's suckling at the Bank of Soros, including the Scheisster-In-Chief) and giving cover to the Congress's attempt to cede fiduciary responsibility to the President. McConnell is a limp-dicked schill! He and his cronies...can't trust farther than I can spit and since my brain surgery, I can't spit anymore!

      • hisham,

Yep. You understand the "debt ceiling crisis" is a con. And I understand it's a con.

Still, I understand why the American people fall for the con when they're barraged with 24 hour propaganda from the media telling them there's a crisis.

What I don't get is how the "financial geniuses" on Wall Street fall for this nonsense.

When I hear the dopes a Moody's claim we have to raise the debt ceiling to pay our debts (a concept that makes zero sense to even a first year Accounting student), it opens my eyes to how we ended up in the financial pickle we're in. These are the same Wall Street "financial geniuses" that insisted banks could make home loans to people with no income because "the price of homes always rises."

  • Okay while browsing the computer got hung up and I was stuck looking at Jan's picture, she looks like Bernice, Remember the Show Barney Miller, Dective Fish's wife? Thats Her!!!

  • Jan is proof that in these mid summer Heat Waves, it truly is "Hot Enough To Breed Democrats" No matter how much her Dear Leader blusters and scaremongers, he knows that touching Social Security is political suicide.

  • Look at that picture: Is Jan saying " You don't know how SS works" or " And when I got Anthony's tweet, his member was so small, like a Chicken Mcnugget, I could have just eaten it all up"

  • If the American people were so sold on the plan the Progressives want or were too stupid to understand the particulars, why has the President gone to the airwaves again and again, for days on end, to SELL his plan and punch down competing ideas? Wouldn't he give it a rest, and let the American people speak through the electorate if he were so damned confident he knew what the people wanted?
