JESSE JACKSON COMPARES HUGO CHAVEZ TO AMERICA’S ‘FIRST 15 PRESIDENTS’ — HERE’S HIS RATIONALE. Something tells us American’s first 15 presidents combined didn’t even come remotely close to ripping off the USA for $2 billion. We don’t think any of them got Sean Penn all hot and bothered, either.

  • 1) Jesse cannot string together an intelligent sentence (literally) so I really don't give a flying one what he is trying to say.
    2) Hugo Chavez wanted fair and free elections as long as he was reelected and he pressured others to vote for supporters in the more local races.
    #) Hugo tried to change the Constitution to allow for him to remain permanently in office. When the people shockingly voted against that "reform" his new mantra became "Por Ahora" for now. He forced attendance and viewing of his weekly Hola Presidente program, where he babbled for anywhere from an hour to 6-7 hours. He never gave a straight answer to anyone, and twisted responses to make ministers, governors, pretty much anyone else responsible for anything he chose.

    I think he resembles Obama far more than our 1st 15 presidents.

    • I was going to jump on that one. But it's the use of the "rational" as the root word that throws a rational person off. I checked the definition, and according to Merriam Wesbster, making sense and/or having a grip on reality is omitted in the definition, making it optional in formulating a "rationale".

  • I can't figure out why the media, even as liberally biased as they are, keeps propping JJ up with these ridiculous, pointless interviews. He is largely incoherent. He stammers and can't even form a complete sentence. I'd like to hear this guy converse in private. I'm betting he speaks in a totally different language... ghetto like, I'd imagine.

    In public he's always tried to pass himself off as another MLK, sort of forcing an intellectual tone to his voice, but it comes off badly and is so transparent as to make him appear really second class and just plain ignorant, even stupid. It is time to drop this drunken demagogue from all of our political discourse. Who's going to be the leader there? CNN? Not gonna hold my breath.

    Hopes for what? They were hoping that he'd croak? They were hoping he'd finally understand the definition of "lift"?

    If they realized their dreams, what was left to hope for? I would like some specifics on that one, Jess.

    Another example of "he's either a blithering idiot or a colossal liar" - it's one or the other, there is no other option.
