Yahoo reporter Aaron Task interviewed Uncle Joe Biden and learned that the gaffe-prone vice president doesn’t like to call socialism socialism.
After running through a laundry list of wealth distribution programs, Biden finally gets into his definition of socialism.
Task: What do you think of the charge that this is a redistribution of wealth? Even the New York Times, famously liberal, said, “The Health Care bill is the federal government’s biggest attack on economic inequality since inequality began rising more than three decades ago.”
Biden: Look, It’s a simple proposition to us: Everyone is entitled to adequate medical health care … If you call that a ‘redistribution of income’ — well, so be it. I don’t call it that. I call it just being fair — giving the middle class taxpayers an even break that the wealthy have been getting … Taxes have been lowered for the wealthy considerably over the years. It’s about time we get a little tax equity here.
You call it socialism, Joe Biden calls is fairness. You call Joe Biden a Marxist, we call him a Leninist.

I think Biden had it right. Why won't anyone investigate Obama & Freddie Mac
