• Rivers was far sharper then Walters has ever been, & had way more talent as well. Walters is less then exceptional, & how she got to where she did amazes & confuses me.

  • She was socially liberal/libertarian which is fine, but she was a fiscal conservative and very pro-Israel. So yeah... that would be enough to garner some hate.

• Joan Rivers succeeded in making people laugh with her. Walters has had a career where people laughed at her. Jealous old woman and it shows because she waited until Rivers died before taking a cheap shot.

• I wonder if Walters is getting senile and is confusing Joan Rivers with Phyllis Diller. Diller's whole shtick was about her (lack of) looks. I don't think Rivers was ever bad looking, at least not before she became addicted to plastic surgery. It's a really weird thing for Walters to say, not just because Rivers was decent looking but because Walters herself is not.
