LA Times says justices poised to strike down entire healthcare law. “One way or another, Congress will have to revisit it in toto,” said Justice Antonin Scalia. Justice Anthony Kennedy said it would be an “extreme proposition” to allow the various insurance regulations to stand after the mandate was struck down. Is it just us or do those statements suggest they’ve already made up their minds?

I think that they should just strike it all down and then get people like Ryan together with moderate Democrats and find solutions to these problem. I dont understand why it takes so long for them to make a decision.
KQ, with all due respect, I think the spirit of compromise has been overuse of late. I do believe that it is compromise that has gotten us to this point. We need to take control of all the levers of power when we have power, stop worrying what the effing MSM thinks about conservatives and start taking our country back from the brink of one world worker's utopianism in the same manner that the commiecrats shoved n0bama care down our throats.
Was on a few blogs and web sites earlier, and the Libtards are screaming bloody murder. Looks like no free Government cheese from this bill. What should happen next is the GOP should introduce a Tort Reform Bill, which would shut down "Dear Leader" in his tracks.
Just got through listening to the arguments in the Supreme Court today and I gotta say....OUTF**KINSTANDING!!! My faith in the Our Constitution and the Supreme Court is now becoming restored. Great Day for the Good Guys!!
Obamacare makes me sick
It is working then. They are creating the market to then take over the market.
This may be a win/win for Obama. If the Court upholds Obamacare, he will be able to campaign on a platform of first term successes and the promise of more "free stuff" in his second term. But if the Court strikes it down, he can campaign against the Court and the five conservative justices who ruled against it, with the promise to introduce a new, updated health care bill and fill any future Court vacancy with liberals.
About time for 0bama to come out and insult the SCOTUS again.
He was, after all, a guest lecturer at some college in Chicago concerning the Constitution.
Hopefully payback will be a bitch.
Maybe they can strike down the whole last damn presidential election while they're at it, too.
Racist.... ;)
Oops, did I blow that dog-whistle?
Homer's (my basset hound) ears just perked up!
Dog-whistle? A subtle slander to Obama claiming to be a mongrel, I see.
But...La Pelosi just said last week that the constitutionality was "ironclad". Is the infallibility of the former Speaker now in question? Or have evil conservatives somehow infiltrated the High Court?
It will be interesting to see how El Presidente's speechwriters spin this when the formal decision is announced in June, particularly, if he wants to campaign on a pledge to try for a single payer(the not-so-secret choice of all true Progressives)system during the second term. I personally hope he does, because it's a guaranteed loser in November.
Yesterdays defense of the law by team Obama was like an old keystone cop comedy.... they showed how shakey their idea is and how its impossible to pretend to defend when put up against the Constitution. Obama spent trillions of our dollars and wasted two years on this heap. He can thank Pelosi and Reid for his demise.
"Obama spent trillions of our dollars and wasted two years on this heap. He can thank Pelosi and Reid for his demise." And they can thank themselves for their own!
If these sleazebags in Washington, now there's a redundancy, want to get control of health care costs, they need to rein in the tort lawyers. I'm not saying the med community shouldn't be liable when they remove a kidney when the person was supposed to have their tonsils removed, but a large percentage of these lawsuits are absurd. BUT, with the lawyers kicking back to the judges, who ought to be throwing these cases out, and the lawyers kicking back to the elected money grubbers, it aint gonna happen. So we need to just be prepared to pay through the nose for health insurance and understand that corrupt judges (another redundancy) and corrupt politicians (is there any other kind) are sticking it to us.
Interestingly and expectedly, Obamacare still didn't address the tort issue. They sure didn't want to piss off that source of huge money.
As a result, I'll still be surprised if SCOTUS strikes it down, but I hope I am wrong.
BTW, our company's health insurance premiums have doubled since Ocommiecare was passed. Just as predicted by Sarah Palin and many others that were castigated by the shitbag-media. (Damn, yet another redundancy)
Navyvet, despite your salient diatribe with respect to the redundant nature or politics, law, and judges, I'm just astounded that we, as nation, got to this point with this piece of feces in the first place!
My theory, the demorats are correct. "You cant possibly overestimate the stupidity of the average voter."
