• Hey gang, and sorry mods for going off topic and completely random, but I have a question bugging me that Google can't solve, and I try to avoid the swillfield of Yahoo Answers. I figger somebody here will know this.

  Trying to remember the name of a WW2 movie, Navy, set in the Pacific, which centers on a young officer who is a Quaker but has set aside his aversion to war for the duration. I only remember clearly one scene where there is an incoming aircraft, unidentified, and he hesitates in ordering his gun crew to open fire -- just long enough so that the aircraft is ID d as American, and of course the Captain calls him up on the carpet to question him about the incident, and him.

• As far as Karl Rove is concerned, any lying felon politician is prime presidential material. That's why his party of fools got their asses handed to them by a Narcissistic Bathhouse Dweller in the last 2 elections.

• And this is why there's a difference between being a Conservative versus being a Republican.

  • The real problem is that in the MSM & those who buy into the D vs R crap, they don't know the difference between conservatives & Republicans.

    • For the MSM, there's "us" (meaning progressives), and "not us" (meaning everyone else). "Not us" can be recognized by their mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, and shooting at anything that moves. Yes, they all usually straighten up and avoid doing that when seen by "us", but all of "us" know full well that they regress right back to it the moment "us" turn their back.
