What could be better to accompany this story than this lovely rendition of “How Low Can You Go” by the Honeys.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 27% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14. These figures mark the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President. The previous low of -12 was reached on July 30.
Prior to today, the number who Strongly Approved of the President’s performance had never fallen below 29%. Some of the decline has come from within the President’s own party. Just 49% of Democrats offer such a positive assessment of the President at this time.
At the other end of the spectrum, today’s total for Strongly Disapprove matches the highest level yet recorded. The 41% mark was reached just once before and that came one week ago today. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans now Strongly Disapprove along with 49% of those not affiliated with either major party.
Enjoy your vacation, Mr. President.

Why are the polls falling? Could be this message from UnAmericans !!!
How many GOP'ers were invited to WH HC bday party?
How many GOP HC amendments have been routinely excluded & voted out by DEM's as though there were no GOP reform ideas out there?
Why are GOP's mail to constituents being censored?
Could the GOP party of NO, be better be labeled as "the party's ideas we don't want you to know" so DEM's can continue to promote the myth of "inclusion, while clearly it's a policy of exclusion" to make the GOP look like they are not interested in reform which is totally a false premise.
Why does BHO continue to avoid "TORT REFORM" in his expedient smooth talk? Is it not a major issue of HC Reform? I think that's called CYA cowardice. You obviously cower to the idea of angering the TRIAL LAWYERS LOBBY after alienating seniors, women cancer victims, Big GOV'T spending, entitlement management/oversight objections, not to mention the UnAmerican voices you continue to ignore.
Reform yes, your personal agenda for management & oversight of the largest Gov't entitlement program ever is respectively delusional to UnAmericans.
Please stop spinning the message to make it sound like we don't want HC Reform! It's so disingenuous, shallow, self-serving and unGodly. You can reform the HC System w/o owning it, but you continue to be fixated on OWNERSHIP rather than true REFORM.
Yet another reason to celebrate.
New poll in Nevada shows Harry Reid is heading down the same path as The One. He's trailing his republican challenger by 11 points. Since Pelosi's district is comprised of the wackiest fringe California has to offer, it's unlikely she will be replaced unless someone runs a monkey against her. I'd like to start taking bets now as to who her nemisis might be in the Senate if the Republicans take back the senate in the next election. My fantasy would be for Sarah Palin to run for senate and then get named Senate Majority leader just to see the fireworks between Palin and Pelosi -- but that won't happen, at least not for a while. McCain is too much of a gentleman to take Pelosi on but what if Kay Bailey Hutchison from Texas...mudwrestling anyone?

reason to get up in the morning.
If you wander over to realclearpolitics.com you will find a composite of several top polling firms -- gallup, rassmussen, abc, nbc and pew. Rassmussen is the only one of the five that polls likely voters, the others just querie either all citizens of voting age or all registered voters. This makes a huge difference -- tracking likely voters (as Rassmussen does) tells you more accurately how an election might turn out if it were held today. Polling registered voters includes a lot of the clueless or those who don't vote regularily and therefore isn't a good estimate of how an election might go. Most news media quote the all voter polls, which make Obama look more popular.
The real key question I would ask Rasmussen is: do they weight their response to likely black voters -- since they vote in higher percentages with Obama on the ballot.
In any case, the Rassmussen poll is the one to watch.
