You know that old movie about the aging big game hunter who’s spent years stalking one particular lion, but has never managed to bring the magnificent beast down? There’s nothing he wants more than that lion’s head hanging on his wall. It’s become a personal battle and the hunter’s failure has made him bitter, angry, and obsessed.
In this case, think of Media Matters as the hunter and Rush Limbaugh as the lion.
The crazy old left wing hunters want nothing more than to destroy Rush Limbaugh’s career by catching him uttering racist words so offensive that they can be used to turn public opinion against the talk show host.
So Media Matters waits, hiding in the bushes, waiting for Limbaugh to expose himself so they can get a clear shot. So far, they’ve missed every time.
Media Matter’s Karl Frisch tells listener-starved liberal talk show host Stephanie Miller exactly what they want:
Frisch: You have to wait every couple of weeks for Rush Limbaugh. I don’t know if he goes off his medication or something, but for him to get really down in the dirt racist, it only happens every couple of weeks, whether its bend over and grab her ankles cause his father was black, or calling him (Obama) a Halfican American, or playing Barack the Magic Negro, that stuff doesn’t happen every day. But it’s as if there’s a little beaker inside of Rush Limbaugh that fills up with racist venom until it just can’t take it anymore and it explodes all over the place.
Miller: Yeah, right. His blow-out preventer is faulty in that sense.
The problem here is that anyone who’s ever listened to Limbaugh knows he doesn’t have a racist bone in his body.
But the even larger problem is that anyone who’s ever listened to the people at Media Matters know they don’t have a funny bone in their bodies.

Rush's audience would not give a damn what media matters had to say about anything. The left does not understand loyalty or the power of the truth.
The problem MediaMatters has is that those media outlets who put the most stock in what they say & use those stories are the outlets that are losing their audience or never had an audience. The network news, CNN, BSNBC, & whatever is left of liberal/progressive talk radio are the only ones who take MediaMatters seriously. If it were not for George Soros money, those working there would have to get real jobs.
This is exactly the reason why is hard being a conservative. It is not an easy lifestyle. It is a lifestyle of ALWAYS being on top of what one says and does. If there is one slip the community of haters will be like vultures pointing to it and take every opportunity to bring it up.
The only way liberals can win is by silencing the opposition. They believe in only 'one voice' for America... Theirs.
I am not a regular listener to Rush, not do I agree with every single syllable out of his mouth, but I can't say I have ever heard him say anything racist. Here's the kicker. So what if he did? I am so sick of thought control. If you say anything about any racial group other than lilly white wasps, SOMEbody willl scream racism. So if I decide that 1/2 Mexicam, 1/2 Asians are people I don't want to hang with, THAT IS MY PRIVILEGE! Whatever happened to free speech. If someone is making racist comments and enough people dislike it, the person's business will fail, he will have no relationships, etc. His choice. And if Rush is such a terrible person, why encourage people to listen to him? Why constantly refer to his speeches and radio progam. They are giving him free publicity. Just exactly HOW stupid can these guys be?

Good to see Media Mutters has it's pom-poms all in a bunch over Rush - this is the normal act of childish behavior from miller and company who wish they had 1/10th of Rush's listeners. Jealous!

Amazing how they're just standing watch for buzzwords of racism. Not actual racism, mind you, just things that can be made to seem racist with the proper amount of outrage shouted in reaction. It's a game to them.
I've been in the midst of this recently at work. We have a black woman who likes to jump on every word every white person utters and twist it into an H.R. complaint. I've been above the muddy fray, but when something happened with one of my crewmembers, I was asked for my reaction, which went thusly:
"Christopher Reeve said something brilliant after his accident. He said, 'I have learned that you are not your body.' " When everyone in the room agreed this was a nugget of pure wisdom I said, "Your skin in part of your body, and only the surface part. The color of it is completely meaningless."
I was raised in the '70s. The concept then was color-blindness. How it morphed into this stupidity that skin color is everything is beyond me. What a cultural mistake.
Media Matters? Really? Nah, they need a good therapist who can be around to talk them off the ledge now a then, and give them lots of tasty pharmaceuticals to help with those delusions they keep having. Rush has proven he is the only one who can take down Rush and that ain't happening soon.
