We can’t even comprehend how this is even possible. How do 513 people cram themselves into two trucks? That seems a tad overcrowded even if they were very little people and very big trucks. Perhaps there are some strict new Mexican carpooling rules we haven’t yet heard about.
My FOX NY tells the tale of the Mexican clown cars:
Police on Tuesday detained 513 undocumented migrants from Latin America and Asia who were crammed into two trucks bound for the United States, prosecutors in southeast Mexico said.
The migrants, from Latin America, Japan, China, India and Nepal, “were traveling in inhuman conditions” in the southeastern state of Chiapas, near the Guatemalan border, the local attorney general’s office said in a statement.
Police stopped the trucks, carrying 240 and 273 people, on the outskirts of state capital Tuxtla Gutierrez early Tuesday, after they accelerated through a vehicle scanner at a police checkpoint, the statement said.
Officers chased down the vehicles shortly afterward, it added.
Police detained the Mexican drivers of the two trucks, and the migrants were provided with aid and food, the statement said.
Since they had illegally crossed into Mexico we assume that “aid and food” means they were beaten within an inch of their lives and tossed in a squalid Mexican jail.
On the other hand, had they been Mexican citizens hoping to cross illegally into the United States, they probably would have been given a police escort to the American border, a nice warm snack and maps showing them how to get to San Diego.

whats the big deal,i live in new york,i've seen that many in one family homes
It is my understanding that their final destination was indeed the United States. And since they crossed illegally into Mexico, which is absolutely not allowed, they have been or are in the process of being deported to their home countries as fast as Mexico can send them there. The food and aid was to make sure nobody died before deportation.
They were bringing more voters in for Obama!

Well, I suppose Obama's deporting more illegals. It sure doesn't feel like it, though, and yes, I thought Bush should've had his butt kicked for not doing his job, either.
Problem is, what percentage is actually getting deported? I'd say it is on the small side of a per cent. One rch more of that percentage really does not impress me. I don't even think that it is deportations that we need. If existing labor laws are enforced, and identity theft laws are enforced, there is no economic incentive for people to migrate illegally. There are so many humanitarian problems this particular issue has caused -- both parties have a lot to be ashamed of. Cheap labor comes at a terrible price. Terrible enough that the owners of businesses that hire illegals so they can exploit them need to be deported.
Problem is, we'd be deporting a lot of politicians with cheap maids and gardeners, so *that* will never happen.
It's like arguing over who started a fight. Who started it doesn't matter so much as who stops it.

I'll jump on it! It was one the few mistakes Ronald Reagan made as President. The other side of the coin is he did try to get tougher border controls enacted but the House and Senate would never send a bill to the desk. He understood, like any reasonably competent plumber understands, you cannot fix the leaking faucet until you shut off the water. You have to stop the flow first.
Blaming Democraps or Repubicants for our immigration problems makes no sense. Politicians, all of them, are the problem. Anyone that does not understand this one little fact is just a foolish as...as...as the fools that voted for the Obummer.

I remember trying to get 26 people into my Volkswagen Bus once. I can't even imagine how you could stick 240 and 273 people into 53' reefers and cross any border. Were the Guinness Book of World Records people there BTW?

Nope. At least not completely. About 200 of them are already at my home improvement store parking lot, 15 are building my deck, 50 are fleeing the scenes of car accidents and the rest are in the mall parking lot looking for chicks to rape.
