The Obamas are in complete sync economically. That is, they both spend until the bank is empty. And then they spend a little more.
The Times of India has the story of Michelle’s profligate New Delhi spending spree:
While her husband talked trade, Michelle Obama did what most women love to do — shop. The First Lady, who has quite a reputation as a fashionista and is known to send stock prices of clothing companies zooming when she slips into one of their dresses, ran up a bill of thousands on an assortment of Indian handicrafts and textiles.
While visiting the 25 stalls at the National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum in Pragati Maidan, she even stopped to woefully exclaim, ”I wish I had brought more money!”
The purchases didn’t stop till the purse was empty. In the visit that lasted over two hours, she delighted craftsmen with loads of Christmas shopping.
No money? No problem? My name is Obama and I’m here to spend.

Does anyone out there bashing Michelle KNOW FOR SURE who paid the bill on her purchases? (Could it possibly be that she paid it out of their OWN money??) This kind of blasting without full information is stupid.
There is a saying that behind a great man there is a greater woman... if that is the truth then the exact opposite is the truth as well... just sayin'
Remember when most first ladies were LADIES and had causes and agenda's of their own? They didn't take expensive vacations abroad without their spouses, they didn't spend time shopping 24 hrs/day. They travelled around the country and tried to improve the lives of the American Populace? NO we have Michelle, who suggests everyone else eat healthy while she swills expensive wines and champagnes, had a private chef cook the food that she ostensibly grows (with the help of an army of gardeners) and routinely shops til she drops. Eleanor Roosevelt traveled around the country talking to voters, families and trying to help her husband with ideas for improvement (based on those conversations and what she saw), as well as being extremely frugal in the White House-

Is it really considered "spending" money if she just plans to skip town without paying? Kind of like SS, medicare and Obamacare?
I wish she'd stay there. And keep Barry too. If the American tax payer, were to really look, it is probably far cheaper to leave her in India, with him.
It's a good thing for the shopkeepers that she spent a bundle, since it looks like nobody else got to shop there that day. Standard Obama nonsense.
Well after all our tax dollars did pay for all those nice things she bought. I'm surprised they didn't bring their printing press with them so she could've printed up more money.
I hope she brings me back something nice.
Please don't make me sit through the home movies though.
