Give back what? All they have they just got from their parents. Why is everyone all the sudden entitled to something someone else has?
I guess the Obama's are anticipating a whole new crop of helpless people, so they are guilting the college kids into helping because they know the government will be of no use.
I hope she pointed out to the new grads the huge personal financial opportunities available in the field of "community organizing"
Yeah, like the way she gave back to the homeless shelter in Washington DC. She took eight cases of food from the White House pantry. What I would like to know is who paid for that food? Tax payers or the Obamas? I think that "taking" money from the people and giving it to someone else is called Socialism. How about those $100/lb. steaks at the White House? How many Americans got to enjoy them. She should practice what she preaches.
Don't get me wrong. I am for helping the poor. But it should be a choice; not a demand. Otherwise, it is not done in love but obligation. And, it should be done without the big show that we saw at DC.
I wonder what Michelle Obama has ever done as far as "volunteerism" or even charitable donations? I believe I read somewhere about how stingy the Obama's were as far as charity goes. Someone should do a story on her volunteerism, or lack thereof as the case may be.
