• THIS is why her constant poor-mouthing of her and Barry's upbringing gets on my nerves. No matter how they grew up (and neither of them had it nearly as bad as they'd like us to think), their current profligate lifestyle bears NO resemblance to the lives of the Americans to whom they're trying to appeal. And, being completely tone-deaf, they show no signs of reining it in.

• To be fair, according to Anita McBride, Laura Bush's former Chief of Staff, Mrs. Bush had between 24 and 26 staffers working for her by the end of her husband's second term in office.

  • Laura Bush did more than take vacations.

    • Agreed! Mrs Bush didn't nag us about what we eat.

      • But she also did lots of charitable work and had other causes she worked to support.

        • And she treated the military personnel that worked closely with the First Family with respect.

      In all actuality, it is cheaper to go to the feed store, or pet store, and buy NutroMax dog food, even though it costs a lot more per pound. Once you get your beloved pet used to the NutroMax, it will eat a lot less food to get a better level of nutrition. It will be healthier, happier, and leave lots less of those nasty dogbombs around the yard, since the food isn't half non-nutrient filler. No, I don't work for them, I've just done the research, fed my own animals Nutro, and seen the difference.

      • My dogs are on a prescription food from Hills Science Diet. They are susceptible to bladder stones and the stuff we feed them prevents the stones.
        I wouldn't feed them the cheap stuff under any circumstances.
        The cheap foods are mainly corn based. Dogs can't digest corn and therefore get no nutritional value from it. They simply dispose of it through their bowels. When you buy dog food, look at the ingredient list, if corn, corn meal, or any other corn product is first or second on the list, there is too much in the food and you are essentially paying for dog poop.
