Adds a whole new meaning to the phrase "go pound sand".
He ran out of the hotel onto an empty beach before detonating the explosives. Seems he would of at least tried to take out the ones that spotted him. He must not have wanted to kill others.
A complete failure as a Muslim.
Maybe he was a distant relative of Achmed the dead terrorist and he was just practicing. No virgins for him

If he was a Christian or a Tea Party member, he would have been wearing a crucifix and an Impeach Obama button, but no bomb. That alone would have been enough to get him arrested in 27 states and DC.
That's not how it works. Amorphous militants should be the proper phrase when describing people who want to kill you for some sort of theo-fascist purpose without actually offending those same theo-fascists who would kill you in an instant.

According to the article, his goal was to blow himself up in the hotel but security spotted him (sweating, shaking, praying to Allah, and wearing a goose down vest in 95 degree temperatures) so he ran out on the hotel's beach and blew himself up there.
"Oh yeah, you thought you could stop me but LOOK WHAT I CAN DO TO YOUR BEACH INFIDELS!" Boom.
Answer to question about what he could do to a beach: not much. You can blow sand up all day long without making much difference. It's already sand.
