(Long & boring, don't bother but it makes me laugh.) I love dropping that one even after all these years. I wrote a paper about those days ages ago and the next week got called back after class.
Lady said, "I have a dilemma, (she was a stickler, follow the instructions type) this is really good except..." I had misspelled King Pyrrhus and Pyrrhic War all the way through. And being a young me I cracked up laughing.
I asked what the late fee was. "I don't have a late... 10points." Grabbed the paper and said see you first thing. These were manual Royal, whiteout and 2 finger days. 3 or 4 pages.
I got it back with a note, "Since you didn't make excuses or try to negotiate. 90.005%" She gave me my A. And to this day still know how to spell the freaking words.
Pyrrhus was a military genius, some think in the top three of all time - and he was second cousin to one of the others in the top three, Alexander the Great, so his genius was apparently genetic. Not only did Pyrrhus make a habit of beating the Romans, he also made a habit of beating the remnants of Alexander's Macedonian Empire, and to top it all off he took Sicily from the Carthaginians. Not a bad record. It's a crying shame he is remembered for the term Pyrrhic victory, making young scholars sweat over spelling his name, and dying after a lifetime of warfare by the hand of an old woman on a rooftop who threw a roofing tile down on his head.
Oh, by the way, he is my 72nd great grandfather... which might account for my neurotic fear of roofing tiles.

Oops. That made me wonder why he wrote a new article now. Looks like the only thing new is that he now knows when they made the alternations (2000) and he now knows they did it to the rest of the world's data, too.

have to be able to justify a carbon tax, so the likes of gore and company can make a couple extra billion from the tax payers. After all, didn't the brain trust kerry just proclaim that global warming is as serious a threat as terrorist, this pack of socialist, self serving, destroyers of this republic will do anything or say anything to continue the transference of wealth to those who produce to those who sit with their hands out! which includes all of congress and certainly the community organizer and his parasitic wife.
