In honor of Presidents Day, USA Today/Gallup did a poll that asked the simple question, “Who is the greatest American President in history?”
The answer is exactly what most IHateTheMedia.com readers would expect. And exactly what most liberals dread.
Is there room on Mount Rushmore for one more of history’s giants?

“Results for this USA Today/Gallup poll are based on telephone interviews conducted Feb. 2-5, 2011, with a random sample of 1,015 adults, aged 18 and older, living in the continental U.S., selected using random-digit-dial sampling.”

"When I heard that Reagan was voted the greatest President in History, it was the first time in my life I was proud of my country." ...okay, actually, that was a lie. I've been proud of the US many times before- but, this finding certainly contributes! Perhaps there is hope for America after all.
who's the 'greatest president', ever ? - he's 'yet' to serve/be 'elected' - he's the one who'll lead us out of the 'mess' we are now in - not specifying a party here - could be either/or-other. but we must be careful, or we could elect the '666' guy, and be right on time for the 2012 prophecy. feel lucky?
It's my biggest regret that I never voted for Reagan. I genuinely liked and admired the guy, but back then I was a hardcore Libertarian and voted straight ticket, so...
Anyway, turned out he did just fine minus my vote.
Meanwhile, to hell with polls about the greatest president - who's the worst? My answer probably won't surprise you: http://jpattitude.com/110221.php
I see Obama was tied with "no opinion." That's got to be a real ego booster!
That's funny... most of the "Presidential" Lists I've seen put Reagan in the middle with Obama above him.
Go figure. The lists don't reflect actual society as a whole. Ain't that a surprise.
I'm not surprised at all with this list and the numbers
.Reagan should be on the $20.
Of the people who said "Clinton" I would like to see the percentages of how many can name another president not named Bush or Obama.
Nixon? I was thinking Lenin, Mao, or maybe Mussolini. Yes, I know that is another list entirely, but you get my point.
There should be a 2nd mt rushmore carved into a giant pile of dried sh*t and garbage. It can have the likenesses of Nixon, Mao,FDR and Mussolini/Obama (they look the same).
FDR should be down there with Nixon. FDR for enslaving us with Social Security and Nixon for the EPA, OSHA, 55 Speed Limit, Watergate, aw hell, for his entire liberal presidency.
Someone help me with my history here...
FDR, that's the guy who signed the authorization to stick Japanese Americans into camps during WW2, right? And he was part of "the civil rights" party, right?
He also dated the speech condemning the attack on Pearl as the sixth of December, like he wrote the speech the night before. Stories. In any case, he was a dog.
Carefull there Jim, you are telling your age! And the reason I know is because I am your age, plus or minus a few, and remember Tricky Dicky very well. Only one thing I give him credit for: He brought the rest of us home. And for that alone I am thankful he was our President at the time.
A perfect example of the demise of our educational system. Barry, Clinton and Carter should be at the bottom of the list.
If I read the poll correctly, BO rated in at or around 5% of those polled. He's going to have to do more than ride President Reagan's coat tails to rate in at 19%!
Considering that this list is compiled of Presidents that have completed their terms of office, I find it a bid ironic the Obongo is on the list at all... It's as if they're already speaking of him in the past tense... which is a thought I find very comforting... Obongo as PAST TENSE.
I agree that the idea of him being finished is good. But FIVE PERCENT!!?? Who ARE these idiots?
"Who ARE these idiots?"
I have no clue who they are, but if I had to wager, I'd bet that they are either on welfare, in school wearing a Che shirt, working for the lamestream media, living in their parents basement posting on KOS/Huffpo all day, belong to a union, etc. etc.
Hold on! If they were on welfare, they must have done the survey on a FREE CELL PHONE! I sure hope that we, the cheap-assed selfish taxpayers, at least had the good manners to give them "Call Waiting" so that they could see that call coming in from a potential employer.
snork
So, in other words, Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann?
And don't forget Okra Whimpy, Big Man Behar & Little Man Mad-cow... mustn't be sexist now.
