Obama Fail: Tells People Without Power to Go to Internet for Help

• Whoever came up the the notion that "Dear Leader" was the smartest guy in the room was sadly mistaken. I'm willing to be he'd have a hard time turning on a flashlight.

• In theory they could still access the internet from a cellphone with such abilities granted the battery doesn't die. But, contrary to what you people think, most "Obamaphones" don't have fancy internet and web features.

  • Jerkoff, perhaps you didn't see the post I put up saying that my family and friends in NJ have no, or very sporadic cell service!
    I sent one friend a text and it took him 36 hours before he was able to get a signal to respond.
    Then, there is the fact that there are so many prople trying to call and check on their friends and family, that they are overloading the circuits.
    Go back to playing telephone with 2 tin cans and string. Maybe mommy will bake you some cupcakes.

  • Yes Johnny genius. You obviously think cell phone towers work without electricity, and/or if they're blown down, and also if where they're hooked up to the net at is under 10 feet of water.

• Well not exactly, more like no-one offered any any alternative to the net for when the power failed -- no phone numbers or radio stations --- remember lots of radios still work on batteries -- like those "This is test of the Emergency Broadcast System . .. " can't remember the last time I heard one on the radio.

  • I usually get them on TV in the middle of a show I'm watching. They never come on the commercials!

  • Oh we still get emergency testing all the time on radio and TV. Every month I believe. But then we understand that shit happens and its better to be prepared!

  My brother called me tonight to tell me that they still had no power, and cell service is sporadic at best.

  • I was gonna say, most people under 35 are using the web via cellphone connection more than by PC, but if the cellphones aren't working either...
