All the road signs say, “Bridge out ahead”, but President Obama wants to step on the gas and race down the road even faster.
The Associated Press reports the President’s delusional economic outlook:
President Barack Obama implored heartland voters Thursday to believe his economic policies averted impending disaster, pushing a hard-to-swallow message to people whose support Democrats need this November.
“What is absolutely clear is we’re moving in the right direction, we’re headed in the right direction,” Obama said at an electric truck factory here, before a pair of campaign appearances for Senate Democratic candidates in Missouri and Nevada.
Obama jabbed Republicans who are threatening to swamp his party in the upcoming elections, though none by name. “There are some people who make the political calculation that it is better to say no to everything than lend a hand,” he said.
Seems to us that the Democrats have become the Party of No: No compromise. No rational economic theory. No listening to the American people.

if the direction is over a cliff then yes we are headed in the right direction. I am confused by Obama, I feel like he really believes in his nonsense and is astonished that people have to be convinced that he is right. It is so weird.
Of course he feels this way, he's gone through his political life without anyone disagreeing with him. It's a complete mystery to him why those of us who see he has no experience at leadership, business, or foreign policy would ever doubt him.
If no one disagreed with him in his entire political career it is understandable then to believe that he may have assumed that MOST people thought the same as him and once he got into a bigger arena he may have thought that most people would flock to him as savior and lord especially after such a landslide win. If he truly believes the crap out of his mouth and mind, it most have been a shock for him to see that not everyone believes in the crap he spews, to encounter massive opposition and to realize that he couldnt just do whatever the heck he wanted. What troubles me is that instead of going to the center like Clinton he INSISTS on pushing to the Left as if to say these people will get in line soon enough. He doesn't give a flying finger about us at all.
I think he truly believes the crap spewing out of his mouth and like all extreme leftist he believes those of us on the right are too stupid to understand his brilliance.
Yes. Either he is a master deceiver who doesn't believe in the crap he spews but KNOWS it is a great way to get and maintain power OR he does believe in the crap he spews AND wants to get and maintain power. Too bad that there are a lot of silly little people in his way.
If you consider the source it's quite clear. He's speaking in "socialist inversion", aka new-speak, using old words with new meanings.
To compare the OLD vs. NEW meanings - good means evil (pro-life), evil means good (gay marriage), right means wrong (Constitutional law), wrong means right (executive fiat), up is down ( employment), down is up (taxes), and Right means Left.
It all depends on what your definition of "is" is.
So, to translate, "We're heading to the left", which is his chosen direction.
We are headed in the right direction, hard right, if you are talking right as in conservative.

Hell, I'd settle for just ONE thing that indicates we are moving in the right direction!

What's absolutely clear is that BHO has no concept of reality. If he does, then he's lying with every word.
These kind of utterances by this jack-wagon (don't have any idea what that is, but I heard Gunnery Sergeant R. Lee Ermey say that on a recent TV Ad, and I love it) will be remembered just like Chamberlain's "Peace in our time" quote.
The key word - delusional. The scarier scenario is: what if he isn't?
If by the "Scarier scenario" you mean the complete destruction of the American Way and the replacement of our Republic with a Marxist/Islamic/Dictatorship, then "The scarier scenario" is in fact what his agenda is. Anyone who still doubts that is either one of his followers, monumentally naive, or living under a rock. I won't believe we're heading in the right direction until we oust all the Liberal/Marxist/Socialists (regardless of party affiliation), secure our borders, deport all the illegals, put a "Cap and Trade" on Unions, Welfare, Acorn, and Big Government, and repeal all the bullshit like "Obamacare". Hopefully it will begin this November and by 2012 we will have the re-incarnation of Ronald Regan appear to lead us out of this travesty. Because you have to be a fool to think Hillary isn't waiting in the wings cackling like the wicked witch every time Obongo steps on his dick, ready to step in and usurp Barry-O as lead Dem.
Obama always uses these straw man arguments: some people say we should do nothing. It's childish.
Better to do nothing than what Obummer is doing, though.
What makes it even more childish is that they did the same thing to Bush before the 2004 election.
It's childish yet sadly far too many Americans fall for it over and over again.
