Obama used nonexistent fatwa to justify talks with Iran. In September, the serial-misspeaker president said in a speech to the U.N. General Assembly that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “has issued a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons.” No, he has not. No such fatwa exists. What’s more, the Ayatollah is on the record saying it would be premature to issue such a ruling.

You might recall that John Hinckley was a seriously deranged young man who shot President Reagan in 1981. Hinckley was absolutely obsessed with movie star Jodie Foster and, in his twisted mind, loved Jodie to the point that to make himself well known to her, he attempted to assassinate President Reagan. There is speculation Hinckley may soon be released as having been rehabilitated. Consequently, you will appreciate the following letter from Nancy Reagan to John Hinckley. We could all learn so much from this elegant and gracious lady:

Obama meant to say the fatwa should be issued. A minor detail he omitted to say. Probably mizzlyyyd the teleprompter. It does not subtract from his brilliance in international diplomacy. Quit listening to Palin and the liars at Fox news.
