hey, I got a personal invitation from David Plouffe today, to watch the broadcast from the white house site. he had a little vid in the email from last week, you know, the promo kinda deal? anyway. it was closed captioned. If the wh site vid is cc then I will watch some of it. I'd like to see first hand what's being said rather than get "expert analysis."

If free enterprise = government five year plans and squashing economic freedom (we have fallen from #3 to #14 under 0) then Carey is not lying this time.
Here's how Merriam-Webster defines "profound":
1a : having intellectual depth and insight b : difficult to fathom or understand
2a : extending far below the surface b : coming from, reaching to, or situated at a depth : deep-seated
3a : characterized by intensity of feeling or quality
I think 1b is the correct sense of the word, although 2a would be correct if he means where his commitment is buried and 3a is correct if he means his feeling of hatred. 1a is just laughable.
