Those are some awesome numbers for a charity. It looks like I'd have to do another nationwide trip to work directly with them, but I'll work on figuring out other ways to make money for them. And Charity Navigator is also quite a useful resource. Thanks!
Hope this works out for you. Please let me know how this goes as with charities these days they would appear to be guilty until proven innocent. Sad.
I had a great time last year working with Ronald McDonald House Charities. I looked for the ones that I worked with on Charity Navigator, but didn't see them listed. The ones that ARE listed, however, seem to be well run, with percentages going to charitable work running in the high eighties to low nineties. I'm going to see what I can get going with some more RMDH locations in California, where I can actually afford to go this year. They do great things for the families of kids that are really sick.
Heard good things about these folks but I don't know for sure....
Of course, it's all a massive public relations push to keep the climate change scam going. I'm sure many palms were "greased" at the UN as well.

In the first version of this article, I used the 2012-2013 Wounded Warrior Project 990 Tax Forms. This updated version is using the 2013-2014 Wounded Warrior Project 990 Tax Forms. (Thank you, David Isakson, for all of your assistance) I had made some errors in my original reporting; I am not a forensic accountant and had misread some of the figures or gotten the figures from the wrong columns. I will not be making those mistakes again. The 2012-2013 and the 2013-2014 tax forms are hyperlinked, so feel free to peruse the documents for yourselves. We should not be surprised to find out that yet another ‘charity’ claiming to ‘help’ Veterans is more interested in the salaries of their executives and funding the vicious cycle of advertisement…raise funds…spend it on advertisement…raise funds…ad nauseum. This does not even begin to cover their beautiful, modern building or the seven lawsuits that they have launched against much smaller, higher rated Veterans non-profit groups, who either used the words ‘wounded warrior’ somewhere in their name or used a silhouette of soldiers in their logos.
***But of the more than 56,000 veterans the group counts as “alumni,” meaning that they have been registered with the organization, many don’t directly engage with WWP. Less than two-thirds (62 percent) of alumni participated in at least one WWP activity or service in the past year, according to a survey of alumni the group shared with the Beast. But according to their internal database, 78.9 percent of alumni have been involved with “engagements and interactions” with WWP this year.
The best advice I can give you is to do your own research. Find small charities that are well-ranked by Charity Navigator or Charity Watch. Stick with local charities with which you have developed an affiliation personally..
Thanks a lot for this analysis. Only 2 or 3 % of their revenue goes to actually helping veterans. Hardly a charity if 97% or more of their activities go toward other purposes.

Don't get it either... as the article recommended I went to Charity Nav and saw what you posted also. I got burned by the United Way years ago..what a scam that outfit was/is?? Just don't trust these organizations..money does bad things to good people when there's too much of it floating around. Guess the only one I trust is the Salvation Army. I believe their commander gets a dollar a year "salary".
When I was putting together my charity tour for 2014, one group of people I wanted very much to benefit was wounded Veterans. A friend told me about Wounded Warrior Project, and I made a dozen efforts to contact them about fundraisers, parties for the children of wounded Vets, anything I could do to benefit them. No response on any phone calls or emails.
There are plenty of other charities that do work for wounded Veterans, and I'll be contacting them when I'm ready to do some more charity work.
He's trying to buy himself sanctuary overseas, so that when Ted Cruz becomes president, he has somewhere to hide from prosecution.
The climate change hoax is big business.
People getting wealthy without anything being produced. I have a problem with that.
Get our money back and instead give one of these countries that little fat haired gay guy that runs the EPA. Since he knows everything about everything, he could be a big help to say China in reducing pollution. And that would greatly eliminate the smell of shit that comes from Washington. At least part of the smell.
