In the wake of Britain’s riots, a group of American radicals are planning a “Day of Rage” targeting Wall Street and U.S. capitalism.
The upcoming protests, replete with a planned tent city in downtown Manhattan, is closely tied to the founders of ACORN and leaders of major U.S. unions, including the Service Employees International Union, or SEIU.
There are indications the protesters are training to incite violence, resist arrest and disrupt the legal system.
The protest aims to take root nationwide.
Activists are advertising on social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter for a “Day of Rage” on Sept. 17 to begin with the “occupation” of Wall Street and continue with protests across the nation.
It will be interesting to see if Mayor Bloomberg sits on his ass while New York burns or if he’ll do something needed like sic the whole NYPD on these clowns.
It’s amusing (and when we say amusing we mean sickening) that when the liberals don’t get their way they go from 0 to violence in 7 seconds, something they accuse conservatives of doing.

"Day of rage" where have I heard that stupid cliche before? It was in 1968 when Bill Ayers and the Weathermen ran through the streets of Chicago breaking windows and setting fires in trash cans. They were dumb asses then and they're even dumber asses 43 years later. One thing about the left, it forgets nothing and it learns nothing.
Any shot that is taken against the wall street bankers is a shot for liberty for all.

I have a better idea. If the corporations fail then let them fail. Then get rid of all the government regulations that prop them up by destroying any competition from small upstarts. And then without any of the violence or any further stink of the corpratists' useful idiots staging this sort of "protest" we can sanely and effectively return this country to where it needs to be.

I have a sneaking suspicion that if ACORN and the SEIU are really behind this it has less to do with wallstreet and more to do with getting another turn at the carcass of productive america. Wallstreet has been hogging it a bit lately but they've stood aside in the past to let the lefts have a few mouth fulls.
I say Blankenfield, Sharpton and Ayres will look just fine decorating the same lampost.
