Thank you again Supreme Court

Thank you again, Supreme Court. For that 2005 Kelo v. City of New London ruling that allows the use of eminent domain to take land from one private owner and give it to another. Now the city of Seattle is stealing a parking lot from its 103-year-old owner so they can give it to a developer… who will build, among other things, a parking lot.

New French stamp used radical Ukrainian Femen-ist for model

NewFrenchStamp.jpg
New French stamp used radical Ukrainian Femen-ist for model. Socialist President François Hollande was so busy trying to make a leftwing political statement, he forgot about the danger of insulting thirty million Frenchwomen: “Are there not enough beautiful and emblematic women in France that we have to import our models from Ukraine?”

Craigslist makes turning food stamps into cash a SNAP

Craigslist makes turning food stamps into cash a SNAP. “On the bright side, at least the Craigslist website is working.” From the comments: “The other cool thing about SNAP is that after you sell it to someone you can call the office and tell them you lost yours. They will give you a new card on the spot, no questions asked. I’m not sure that any tracking of the ‘lost’ card is done.” Awesome.

Better To Not Protest the NSA Than To Hold Hands With Libertarians, Says Progressive Scribbler: It is hard to hold hands with proglodytes as those particular instruments are so often occupied with being lodged in the people’s pockets and around their throats.

Canada Has Death Panels. And that’s a good thing.

Canada Has Death Panels. And that is a good thing: Surprise, surprise, surprise. When a central authority has control over production and distribution it cannot anticipate needs nor can it address them. Just wait till they get control over the food supply. Then they can tell us how awesome starvation is.

UN climate chief breaks down in tears over Global Warming. Christiana Figueres is upset about future generations condemned to burn in a runaway greenhouse effect… or she stubbed her toe on the way into the BBC interview. Who knows with crazy people? Here’s our question: if Christiana Figueres married John Boehner, would they give birth to crybabies?

White House touts Obamacare success story that wasn’t

White House touts Healthcare.gov success story that wasn’t. This is how desperate they are to find an example of the website working. A New Yorker reporter tweeted that he set up an account “no problem.” The White House immediately ran with it, with even Jay Carney retweeting the fantastic news. 39 minutes later the same reporter tweeted, “Got all the way to the end… and then it hung up trying to submit app.” Just like every other app, in other words.

Obama rounds up 13 human props to shill for Obamacare

ObamacarePresser131021.jpg
Obama rounds up 13 human props to shill for Obamacare. Turns out only three of them managed to register at Healthcare.gov, only two of those three actually signed up for coverage (or so they claim), and one person was so embarrassed by the whole situation she fainted. Out of three hundred seventeen million people, this is what they got.

State media, Jerry Brown ignore CA’s worst-in-nation poverty rate

State media, Jerry Brown ignore CA’s worst-in-nation poverty rate. “…why isn’t the fact that California is worse off than Mississippi and West Virginia front-page news? Or back-page news? Or news at all?” We’re at the point where it would be big news if journ0lists actually started reporting the news….

Obamacare Enrollment Plan B – Phoning it in

Obamacare Enrollment Plan B – Phoning it in. Dept. of Redundancy Dept: “Obama encouraged Americans seeking insurance to sign up the old-fashioned way by calling 1-800-318-2596. But when I tried calling the number… I got referred back to the website Healthcare.gov and its live web chat feature.” Hey, if the website then tells you to call, you could be caught in an infinite ObamaCare loop! Cool!
