Doing her very best Vince Lombardi impression, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi insists that the polls are wrong, the American people aren’t pissed off, and that bullshit smells like roses.
Here’s a quick excerpt from her interview with NPR’s Robert Siegel:
Siegel: If your party does lose the House would you step aside as leader?
Pelosi: First of all, I don’t accept that premise in any way shape or form. The momentum is with us. We are out there to dispel many of the misrepresentations that have been going out there for nearly two years by the Republicans and the special interests, the oil industry, the health insurance industry, the banks and their allies.
We’re out there. Our members are great articulate spokespersons for their point of view into their districts. And district by district we feel very confident about the election.
And we believe that six weeks from today, six weeks from Wednesday of this week we will have no regrets but instead we will have a great Democratic victory.
At what point do interviewers begin saying, “Oh, come on, Nancy, get serious.”

Then why the hell are the afraid to have OPEN town hall meetings? A gathering in a union hall, packed w/SEIU thugs is not an open exchange of ideas. Pre-screened questions from "friendlies", is not getting out amongst the electorate!
They have the momentum. Right down the toilet.
Never underestimate the ability of the Democrats to steal an election. Remember that there's a Chicago crowd running the show---Chicago where the dead rise from the grave every election day to cast a ballot.
They will get a lot of help from the National Association of Deceased Democrats.
Pelosi asserts, "We’re out there."
You got that right, Sister... "out there" as in somewhere in the farthest reaches of the Milky Way!
The Democrats should package a laxative and call it Momentum - for those times when you really want to be blown out.
You have to wait until after the election to see who wins it.
That's right, because I fully expect election-day shenanigans like stuffed ballot boxes mysteriously appearing in the trunk of some Dem/union operatives' car. "Oh lookie what we found!"
This may get repeated nationwide. Pelosi may know something we don't......
Ron Paul always said the momentum was building and I think that worked for him. He knew it, and his supporters knew it. The only people who couldn't see it were the neocons.
