From the abolition movement to civil rights sit-ins, debate, artistic expression and free speech have been written in the genetic code of institutions of higher education.
But free thinking can be, like, hard. And it can be uncomfortable. It can even be dangerous, especially when you dare treat Islam with the same critical examination that you freely — one could almost add, gleefully — hand out to the world’s other great religions, especially Christianity and Judaism.
Thankfully, political indoctrination, in the form of political correctness, is easing those uncomfortable debates and putting universities far, far away from suicide bombers who may take issue with debate and free expression. (Hopefully, they’ll bomb someone else.)
Case in point: Here’s how Penn State deals with an art show on Islamic terrorism.
While the university has been home to a recent sadomasochistis and pedofile supporters at a Sex Faire, it just couldn’t bring itself to allow one artist’s view of terrorism.

I don't care what anyone says a religion that would create SUCH a group of people AND the "peaceful" people do not forcefully condemn them to the point where they would find "insult" with depictions of the extremists is not a religion for me. I find it demonic.
This is extremely pathetic and for this to happen in this country is disgusting.
Recently on TV, there was an art show that encouraged everything from very overt sexual installations to paintings using blood, menstrual blood, semen and other body fluids. And no one blinked other than to say some of them were not shocking enough. One would thnk that this collection would trigger dialogue, and investigation. It is clear that there is a "right speech" which is free, and a "wrong speech" which will never be acknowledged or accepted. Too sad. THis guy said this was his thesis. Did they let hom graduate?
99% of artists and academics today are total cowards. Pathetic.

We can't let fear of something keep us from stating the truth. A fear of being bombed by terrorists should not keep an institution from showing a program like this. If the USA bowed to fear in the past, we wouldn't be around today. Saying terrorism is evil isn't a bad thing, being afraid those terrorist will get offended is. Funny how I see my beliefs flaunted and made fun of constantly on the internet and tv, but if you say anything about radical islam? Man you are not to go *there.*
I guess the difference is Christians won't bomb towers in New York and kill 4,000 innocent people?
Even if that happens again, we shouldn't let the fear of it happening dictate how we live our lives.
Well, we need colleges- who else is going to train our young people to be lawyers so they can sue their country over habeas corpus rights for terrorists, while our boys and girls in uniform work at UPS or Kmart when they come home; or who else is going to teach them to declare their second home in the country their legal residence so they can democratic in rural areas; or where else can lefty teachers get free medical care, free food, free housing and advocate taxing the dumbos who have to pay for those things
I can't help but hoping that those who choose to bury their heads in the sand and keep the general public from knowing the truth about islam and the terrorists who want to murder us and our children, are the very first people the terrorists root out and who's heads they saw off first!
