Possibly the funniest climate photo ever. British climate alarmists said drought was “inevitable” this spring – so inevitable that they put announcements on the sides of buses. Almost immediately it started raining and wouldn’t stop.

  • Something tells me the alarmists may have flunked Meteorology 101. Or got a D in science like the Goricle.

    • There is no gov't money to research climate & weather, & NOT say it was "global warming/climate change". These fraudsters are so heavily invested in GW/CC, & much it with your money, they will never allow the truth to come out. GW/CC is about socialism & control, not about the climate & the truth.

  • I think it's a mind-control experiment. "Let's put 'We Are In A Drought' on billboards all over and see if anyone notices that it's raining."

  • Anybody else wondering why they felt the need to announce a drought on the sides of buses in the first place? Droughts aren't exactly secret things that need to be advertised.

    • They have some bizarre water saving techniques they are pushing in Britain. Like not flushing the toilet if its yellow, only if its brown! YYYYEEEEUUUCCCCHHH! The nurse in me seizes everytime I think of the germs breeding!

    • So that the idiots that didn't realize it wasn't raining, would drown while looking up at the rain when it does come.

  • The same kind of thing is happening to Melbourne, Australia...AFTER they spent about $2 Billion building a desalinization plant. Now they're being flooded out. Real life is better than fiction!

    • Isn't it time for the annual flooding rains in San Antonio?
      When I lived there I always looked forward to the news stories about the stupid people that can't figure out the "low water crossing" signs and the associated gauges that showed how many feet deep the water is in that spot.
      Springtime in Texas, when the skies are filled with rain clouds and the rivers are filled with cars and pickup trucks.

      • Except we didn't get those showers last spring. Nor in the early summer, nor during hurricane season. :( This year we started off great, but the Great Dome of High pressure is above us again. We are already in stage 2 water restrictions (earliest ever) and are flirting with stage 3-which we have never had to do. I heard today that La Nina is hitting the road, so maybe the high will breakdown and we will get some rain here soon!

        • Wow Rose, I had no idea it was that bad. I was in San Antonio 82-87 and never saw a spring without flooding.

          • Yeah well, the climate it is a changing! Seriously, I thnk this is a cyclical thing. We had a serious drought inthe early to mid50's. But few people now remember that. And we have idiots that despite the ordinances, restrictions, etc just HAVE to water their sidewalks and the street in front of their house cause God forbid they stand out ther with a hand held hose towater small areas! Andof course every truck car motorcycle and boat needs to be washed 3 x weekly. Our population is increasing so quickly, mostly with people who do not understand the local climate, we are using a great deal of water. I thnk we should be at what is now stage 1 all the time!

            What is the water level at Canyon Lake like?
            Is Schlitterbahn on a restricted schedule?
            I know when I lived there, SA had just hit 1 million population, what are they at now?
            I'm sure they haven't planned on infrastructure improvements to handle the increase in population. The illegals alone must have put quite a strain on the system.

          • The population Has definitely increased. In 2010, the total was 1.33 million, 2nd only to Houston, We're bigger than Dallas now. And of course, a significant portion of our population is never counted. Canyon Lake is running about 85% full. Other lakes, such as Medina are hurting more due to irrigation deficits. And while the city has done a wee bit to increase our water storage, develop new sources, etc, no, they haven't thought THAT far ahead. And the general population doesn't seem to get we are on the sharp edge of a desert. Water is pricelss and should be treated as such!

          • Yes, I got that impression when I was there. Most people were concerned with themselves in the short term, not the future.

          • We got 1.7 inches of rain early Sunday morning. The aquifer came up a foot. Now if we can just hold on to that!

      • That's not as stupid as the Saginaw, Michigan, ice fishermen who get blown into Lake Huron every spring when the ice starts to melt and breaks away from the shores of Saginaw Bay. Every damn year the Coast Guard has to rush out and pluck the hapless idiots off the ice as they drift away, leaving their ice huts and SUVs to sink into the waters of Lake Huron. Yep, that's right, they drive their $30,000 SUVs out on the ice to reach their $10,000 ice huts and it never dawns on them to get their shit off the ice when the weather warms.

  • First off, you wing nut knuckle draggers, Drought is caused by AGW but so are torrential rain storms. Also, normal amount of rain is caused by..you guessed it, AGW.

    Second, SHUT UP!!!

    It's important that people are aware and let Mother Nature know by hugging trees or climbing to the top of a mountain just to admire Nature's creation and the insignificance of humans.
