I too remember this bit, as well as many others Carlin did. Top shelf stuff. The fact that 1 of his bits ended up in front of the Supreme Court in 1978 is still amazing to me. It was the "7 Words..." routine, & it still holds up today. Too bad his heart gave out on him.
I also miss Sam Kinison as well, if you got past how crude he was & got to the substance of what he said, you would know he was a comic legend. What's sad is he cleaned up his act & then dies in a car wreck in the desert, what a waste. His bit about famine is pure genius, I miss him.
Completely agree on Kinison. A genius. Saw him live at Cal State Fulleton once and never laughed so hard.

I remember watching that, probably on HBO, years back.. and I’ve probably used that line about 20 times since then…
Earth day is not about saving the planet… it’s about saving humanity… like Carlin said “The planet is fine, the planet isn’t going anywhere, but we are”…
should be a national holiday… remove Christmas, Easter, take your pick… make people more aware… nothing wrong with a cleaner planet…
and when you have a choice between “cleaner” or “dirtier”… would anybody really chose “dirtier”… believe it or not… some would !!!

lol, I miss George Carlin. As far as being phased out.. the human race has already begun it's phasing out. In fact (warning, comment may be offensive to some) homosexuality is the earth's cure for humanity. We were spawned to correct the overgrowth of animal population on the earth. We ourselves, now overpopulated, are experience genetic changes to stop us from multiplying. Homosexuality isn't a personal choice, it's a genetic mutation caused by the earth to stop human reproduction.
