Behold a few rare moments of candor from ABC’s Jake Tapper and the Examiner’s Julie Mason. They explain that Robert Gibbs is known as “The Gibnotist” for his ability to bore the hell out of people who are paid to listen to him speak.
“People have actually fallen asleep in his briefings,” Tapper says.
This may explain the increasingly contentious relationship between Gibbs and the press: They’re not fighting with him. They’re fighting to stay awake.

It would be great if reasonable people could reverse the corrupt Chicago-style politics that seems to pervade nearly every layer of government in this pathetically embarrassing state. I realize the greatest opportunity to do so would be to give Chicago to Indiana and then clean up Springfield. Having said that, the same style of politics is at work in Washington and certainly needs more attention since we are just one state. Illinois committing suicide by debt is one thing but the goons in Washington are determined to squeeze the life out of the whole Union. We need good people to try to stop the madness that has pervaded Washington.

After the few briefings I watched, my perception, was that I couldn't believe that the press let him get away with such illogical BS statements. I just came away with the depressing opinion that they (the press) were just so unbelievable bias to the point of somehow they must be breaking some law if not a moral code.
