The networks’ response to Rand Paul’s response to the State of the Union was just what you’d expect. They pretended it didn’t happen. Just plain ignored it.
They shouldn’t have. And neither should you. Watch it for yourself. Paul wants to slam on the brakes before we accelerate over the edge of the cliff. Unlike most politicians, he doesn’t mince words about the perilous state in which we now find ourselves.
“The Democrats have a conundrum,” Rand said. “You see, they really do believe that government really is the answer to all our economic and social ills. Yet they’re becoming aware that a debt crisis looms and they have no way to finance their dreams of bigger government … We are sick and tired of hearing that a program is wanted and not how we are going to pay for it.”
And that’s just the opening.
Go, Paul, go.

very concise description of America's current financial problem, government has stopped being "of, by and for the people" and now takes on the role of being "of, by and for itself". It would not be possible to chronograph a more complete destruction of the United States than what our government has done to date. It would seem that one of the fastest ways to get back on track with the constitution and the health of our nation would be to impose term limits, no special benefits to those who serve. For the debt crisis, we could start with Social Security that we are hearing so much about, seems fairly simple: Pay nothing in, get nothing out! and how hard would it be to cut all funding to illegals? SS, food, housing, medical, education..last I read that was 580 Billion a year, the reason it continues is the politicians want the Latino vote and do not want to upset anyone? Government is the problem not the solution.
Isn't is strange that he didn't mention Obama's pro Jihadi stance at the SOTU http://avideditor.wordpress.com/2011/01/25/is-obama-being-pro-jihadi-in-the-state-of-the-union-2011/ ? Or is he just a finical conservative?
