They fizzled like a rocking horse racing at Belmont.
They may be back in the spring, but there may be a bright side. There are companies, like one called Social Intelligence, that have been hired to scan social media like Twitter, Facebook, & MySpace. What they are doing is going through profiles, collecting their bio info, & what they post. So if you are at OWS, & you post about how you hate the greedy bastards on Wall Street, you hate the 1%, & you are video leading mic checks denouncing capitalism, they collect this stuff. Then a few years later, you go into a job interview, & the company may have those things brought to their attention. My guess is that most HR depatments are going to see that & say, no deal. It's not like the old days when hippies got away with whatever because there was no social media the we have it today, many of the OWS a-holes will learn a hard lesson in the years to come, & I will laugh my ass off.
This may indeed come back to bite them in the ass. Unless of course they apply at GE, UC-Berkley, or any company unfortunate enough to fall under the UAW umbrella of financial fuckery (or of course if Trolliva becomes a Fortune 500 CEO).
Of ocurse, then they will become welfare recipients. We just can't win.
On your last point, you don't become a CEO by getting reactions on internet comment sections. But I could see her working for something involving John Padesta or David Brock.
It was bound to fizzle out. It's an empty organization that attracted people with empty heads.
But there's just such a never-ending supply of them! Maybe they'll be back in the spring, just like the snowbirds.
